Meridian unveiled the iRIS universal dock for iPod which claims to pump out your stored videos in resolutions as high as 1080p via HDMI. This iPod dock adopts the Qdeo digital processing engine, which “empowers the Meridian iRIS to derive upscaled and upconverted video—including full-HD-format 1080-progressive mode—with unprecedented quality.” The iRIS universal dock for iPod will be released in November for $379.

Focal corp Japan has rolled out the Boomtune Mini speaker system for the Apple iPod. It has three legs where two serve as speakers and one as the battery compartment. The speaker does not have a docking station for the iPod, however it connects via 3.5mm stereo mini plug. The Boomtune Mini speaker system will be available in pink and light blue. Boomtune Mini is available in Japan for $39.

Uniea begins to promote their new iPod case for an unannounced Apple iPod. The U-Suit case features a soft leather exterior, hard plastic interior with scratch-resistant inner lining, and a front hole sized for a roughly 2.3-inch screen and iPod nano-sized Click Wheel. It is priced at $30 with an unknown release date.

Belkin showed off its upcoming TuneBase 2 FM Transmitter for Apple iPod at the IFA 2007 conference in Berlin, Germany. This FM transmitter sports a mono display for navigating stations, an auto tune feature that finds the clearest frequency on which to broadcast, and a “signal booster.†Pocket-link claims that Belkin’s TuneBase 2 FM Transmitter will be released in the UK in October and will retail for $140.

Logitech has unveiled the Pure-Fi Dream iPod dock that features an LCD screen on its base which displays a clock and AM/FM tuning (including RDS text) while allowing for a larger view of track and time line information from your Apple iPod. The two-speaker setup features a two-woofer setup as well. The Logitech Pure-Fi Dream will be released later this month for $250.
