Yamaha MCR-140 And MCR-040 Mini Audio Systems

The MCR-140 and MCR-040 are two latest mini audio systems from Yamaha that support iPhones and iPods. The Yamaha MCR-140 is able to play music wirelessly from an iPod thanks to Yamaha’s proprietary yAired standard. However, the Yamaha MCR-040 lacks of this wireless feature. Both mini audio systems support two 4-inch detachable drivers rated at 15W each, a CD player, a front panel USB port, an FM radio and auxiliary audio jack inputs. There is also an optional wireless subwoofer kit for the MCR-140 allowing for better bass delivery. Available in orange, dark blue, light blue, white, red, dark green, brown, light gray, dark gray and pink, the Yamaha MCR-140 and MCR-040 retail for $400 and $280, respectively. More

Panasonic D-Dock Slim iPod Docking Station

Panasonic has unveiled their latest iPod docks from their D-Dock series. Known as the Panasonic SC-HC4 and HC3, these slim iPod docking station features a digital amplifier delivering 20Watts × 2 channels output, an AM/ FM tuner, a CD player and a SD card slot (SC-HC4 only). These iPod docks come with speakers that are made of a high quality Bamboo fiber material to make it lightweight and produces deep sound. The Panasonic SC-HC4 will be available in silver, pink and black for 40,000 Yen ($450) and the Panasonic SC-HC3 will be available in silver for 35,000 Yen ($400). Edifier iF500 iPod and iPhone Docking Station

Edifier has now made its iF500 iPod dock entertainment system available in North America. The device looks unique with its alien head like dome that houses five separate speakers and is made with vibration and resonance control. The device is compatible with iPods, iPhones, and other portable audio players via their headphone jacks.

Each speaker produces 10-Watts, meanwhile the 5.75-inch subwoofer has 32-Watts of power. There is also a digital FM tuner, and all functions are controlled via LED-lit controls around the base of the device. The iF500 is priced at $249 each. [ipodnn via iPod and MP3 Players]
