
Google is set to drop their very first e-Book reader ‘iriver Story HD’ that is based on Google eBooks, which means you’ll have direct access to over three million free and for-purchase Google e-Books via WiFi. In terms of specs, the device comes with a 6-inch 1024 x 768 e-ink display, a Freescale Cortex A8 processor, a 2GB of internal storage, an SDHC card slot, a QWERTY keyboard and WiFi connectivity. Several Chinese online magazine such as Sohu.com and 21.cn.com have started selling the iRiver Cover Story. This eReader features a 3.5-inch touchscreen e-paper and supports ePub, PDF, FM2, TXT, HWP, DOB, PPT, XLS, MP3 and WMA file formats. Measuring 126mm x 162.8mm × 9.5mm, the gadget also has a mini USB port, a 2GB of internal memory and an SD/SDHC card reader for storage expansion. [Akihabara]

iRiver Japan has rolled out the new digital photo frame, which is dubbed as the Framee-Smart. Available in black or white, the gadget comes jam packed with a 7-inch (480×234) display screen, a calender and an alarm clock function. iRiver has unveiled two new MP3 players in the form of the M31 Shining and M41 Revolve. Measuring 80.5mm x 26mm x 11mm and weighing at around 22grams, the entry-level iRivier M31 also functions as a USB storage device. The gadget features a tiny OLED screen (128 x 32) and supports MP3, WAV, and WMA file formats. Meanwhile, the iRiver M41 features a bigger 1.8-inch display with support for both audio and video playback. Measuring 8mm x 8mm x 40.4mm and weighing at 45grams, the M41 supports MP3/WMA audio files and AVI video files. iRiver today announced the availability of N20 PMOLED MP3 player. The gadget comes equipped with a 120 x 56 PMOLED (passive matrix OLED) screen with four lines of data, which is enough to display text and simple icons. iRiver has announced the successor to its NV Mini portable navigation device by releasing the NV Mini Bike Edition. Unlike its predecessor, the bike edition comes with a sturdy bike mount kit, a scaled-up touchscreen UI designed to accommodate gloved fingers, no integrated DMB TV tuner and a new firmware that measures stats like ride time, speed, distance and calories burnt. Apart from that, it also sports a 3.5-inch 320 x 240 touchscreen, GPS with POI (points of interests) functionality, a media player, integrated speakers, an SDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack and runs on Windows CE 5.0 OS.
