
iRiver has launched its palm-sized electronic dictionary in South Korea. Dubbed as the Dicple D7, the gadget supports a 3-inch touchscreen LCD that supports handwriting recognition, video playback at 30fps, SRS WOW HD sound driver, an FM radio, a Flash player, a PDF viewer, a text/photo viewer, a recording function and a micro SD card slot. This electronic dictionary also features Encyclopaedia Britannica and 24 different kinds of dictionary with authentic native-speaker voice. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at 268,000 Won and 308,000 Won, respectively. [AVING]

iRiver has recently upgraded its P35 PMP with a huge 32GB of storage capacity. The player boasts a 4.3-inch WQVGA display and a microSD slot that supports up to 16GB cards. The Korean version also comes with an optional DMB digital TV tuner, which you can’t find in the US version. The touchscreen PMP is currently available in Korea for 488,000 Won ($389) and will be available in the US this Fall. No word on pricing of the US version. Stay tuned for more updates. The iRiver B30 Portable Media Player has been released. Available in white, black, or silver, the gadget has an FM tuner, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a microSD expansion slot, a 4/8/16GB storage capacity, USB 2.0 connectivity, and a user-selectable equalizer. Its battery provides enough juice for 40-hours on audio playback or 5.5-hours with video playback. The 4GB, 8GB retail for $155, $183, respectively. iRiver P.ple P7 is the company’s latest 4.3-inch touchscreen PMP for the Korean Market that comes with a magazine-style layout for a GUI. The device supports most of video file formats including AVI, WMV, MP4, RM/RMVB, DAT/MPG, 3GP/K3G, FLV and more. Other interesting features include an FM radio, a photo/text viewer, a voice recorder, a microSD card slot and up to 35 hours of music playback. The D50N is iRiver’s latest Dicple line of eDictionaries. It is a portable networking device with Wi-Fi connectivity, eDic, a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen with resolution at 800 x 480 and a 16GB of storage capacity. The gadget is priced at $370. [Gizmowatch]

The iRiver P35 was introduced in the USA during the last CES 2009. iRiver has decided to launch this gadget in Korea. Weighing 220grams and measuring 128.3mm x 79.7mm x 17.8mm, the player features USB 2.0 OTG, a 4.3 inch LCD (WQVGA), and compatible with most of famous multimedia format including Xvid, WMV9, MPEG2/4, and H.264. The iRiver P35 is currently available in three models including the P35 Basic with no WiFi/DMB and only 8GB of internal memory, the P35 DMB with a DMB TV Tuner, no WiFi and 16GB of internal memory, and the P35 WiFi with both a DMB TV Tuner, WiFi and 16GB of internal memory. iRiver is a famous brand for its range of portable media players. The company comes back with two new gadgets. Known as the Dicple D35 and D31, both models feature DMB support, FM radio recording, handwriting recognition, and a touchscreen display. Unfortunately, these gadgets are available only in Korea. iRiver Japan enters e-book reader market by releasing their own e-book reader. The device will be able to handle PDF documents and features a simple joystick control scheme, an SD memory card slot, and audio file playback. It seems that this gadget is a rebadged version of the Netronix reader that was released last year. [Engadget Japan]

I am sure you are still remember the iRiver Wave Home that has been introduced at CES 2009. This communications device is now available in South Korea via KT. Phone capability comes from a removable handset plopped into its back. Video conferencing is courtesy of a 1.3MP shooter in the top. The P20 is the latest portable media player from iRiver that will be released in Japan on 27th of February 2009 for 39890 Yen or around €343. In case you didn’t know, the iRiver P20 PMP features a 4.1 inch OLED Display with a 480×272 resolution, 80GB of HDD, and is compatible with MPEG-1/2/4, Xvid, WMV, MP3, OGG, WMA, FLAC file formats. What makes this gadget more special is that it is capable of viewing Microsoft Office 2003 documents, PDF, and TXT. Other features include an FM Tuner with recording features and flash games support.
