Onkyo and SOTEC partnered up on the new APX-2 HD audio PC. It comes with a Core 2 Duo T5500 @ 1.66GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD, a digital audio amplifier, an HDD that is stored in a Super Floating HDD Unit, and a noise cancellation box (22dB max) as well as Vista’s volume mixer function and installed Pure Direct Audio Path (PDAP) to prevent audio loss from poor HD audio support. It features a 10Mpix CCD and can be dropped from a height of 2m max, support a pressure of 100kg as well as dropped into 10m max of water without any damage. Japanese company, Green House, has just released two new versions of SSDs, the 16GB and the 32GB one. Both versions will have a reading speed of 35MB/s and a writing speed of 30MB/s. As far as prices are concerned, you’ll be paying pretty high for both starting at $641 for the 16GB version and $1,202 for the 32GB one.

Sony has announced that Japan will be getting a new PS3 in a metallic satin silver color along with a DualShock 3 in the same color. The satin silver PS3 will hit Japan this March.

Congrats to Kenwood for the launch of their very first digital PCM recorder. It comes with 2GB of internal memory and SDHC card support. The MGR-A7 supports MP3 and WMA files, uses the Wolfson WM8985 digital amplifier, and has continuous recording time of 12.5h in PCM or 19h in both MP3 and WMA modes. No word on pricing or availability for this badboy.

Looks more like a 2-way communicator, but whatever. Sharp has announced that they will be releasing a new phone called the 922SH in Japan. You can look forward to four different colors such as: pearl white, metallic black, bronze gold and pearl pink, a full qwerty keyboard, a 3.5-inch 260,000 pixel display with 480 x 854 resolution, and a 2M camera as well as support for 1-Seg, international roaming service, HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately there is no word on pricing or availability in Japan or otherwise.

It comes in your choice of pink, white or black glossy finishes and has all the standard features such as: a 2.4 inches screen, 2 megapixels Digital Camera, MicroSD port. Acer has announced that they will be releasing the AS5520-7A1G16 notebook in Japan. The AS5520-7A1G16 offers you a 15.4-inch screen and a 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and has 1GB memory as well as 160GB HDD. Acer has released it in Japan for a retail price of $930.
