
KDDI has finally announced the availability of the Samsung SMT-i9100 Android tablet in the Japanese market. Powered by the Google Android 2.2 OS, the gadget comes equipped with a 7-inch (1024×600) multitouch display, Wi-Fi and CDMA 1x, 3G, a 4GB of internal memory, a 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth, a microSDHC card slot and a 2MP digital camera. KDDI has unveiled a new 3G CDMA e-book reader for the Japanese market. Measuring 198mm x 133mm x 9.6mm and weighing 296 grams, the gadget is powered by a 6-inch SVGA display screen, a 7500 page turns on a single charge and a 2GB of internal memory. What’s more, the KDDI Bliblio Leaf SP02 is compatible with XMDF, DPF and EPUB file formats. Additional features include WiFi and a microSD card slot. au KDDI has recently released the Toshiba K01 Windows Mobile phone that will be known as the IS02 in Japan. The handset will be one of the thinnest WinMo phones for au. The Toshiba IS02 is powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS, a powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3G, a 4.1-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with customized NX! If you are a big fan of James Bond, then you might be happy to hear that KDDI will release the limiited edition of W63S cell phone that comes with a special 007 Quantum of Solace design from AU. The handset is priced at €110 with a contract. For your info, the mobile phone features an internal 2.7 inch organic EL WQVGA display with an external 1.1 inch organic EL display, 100MB internal memory, 1Seg support, EZ FeliCa, and a 3MP shooter. Here is the world’s first 3D mobile phone screen that was developed by KDDI. It seems that the prototype 3.1-inch 480 x 800 WVGA LCD adopts the “parallax barrier method” that divides images or video separately for the right and left eye. KDDI shows off the latest Samsung-made 3.1 inch OLED display at CEATEC 2008. The display is able to produce up to 800 x 480 resolution, which supports DVD resolution video. Look what’s dropped in to local AU KDDI shops in Japan! The Pantech W61PT phone which is obviously more of a girlie phone. It comes in your choice of pink, white or black glossy finishes and has all the standard features such as: a 2.4 inches screen, 2 megapixels Digital Camera, MicroSD port. Price and additional features are unknown at this time. Keep in mind gentleman, that the hot girl isn’t included with the phone.

KDDI has announced the INFOBAR 2 mobile phone. The mobile phone features a 2.6-inch display screen (240 x 400), microSD card slot, 2MP camera and a battery charging station allowing you to dock your phone on it directly.
