KEF today introduced its HTB2SE-W high-end subwoofer which is actually a wireless version of the existing HTB2. The HTB2SE-W’s wireless capabilities are made possible via KEF’s Universal Wireless Kit, which uses a standard 2.4Ghz RF system. The sub uses a 10-inch driver powered by a 250 watt digital amplifier and a 10-inch passive radiator packed into a slim enclosure that can be used horizontally or vertically. The KEF HTB2SE-W should be available in October 2009 for $1200. KEF’s Universal Wireless Kit is also available separately for $599. [WidescreenReview]

The satellites and center channel offer a multi directional desktop mount with better stability and user preference positioning, while KUBE-2 features a powerful performance complementing the clarity and sound quality of the satellites and center channel.
