
Kenwood has recently introduced the Hibachi speakers, that are still in the concept stage. These wireless speakers work on the 2.4 Ghz band along with the SLG-7 transmitter which uses incompressible linear PCM. The speakers also illuminate based on the sound effects. Available in black or silver, the Kenwood U-K323 series are compact high-end Hi-Fi (2 x 20Watts) is capable to play MP3, WMA or AAC music files either stored on a CD or a USB stick. Kenwood today rolled out the KH-C311 earphones that provide a frequency response of 20-20,000Hz, a sound pressure level of 95dB/mW, an impedance of 16Ω, and comes with 9mm neodymium drivers. The earphones are currently available only in Japan for approx. 3000 Yen. Each purchase comes with mobile phone plug adapter. [Akihabara]

The Prodino is a small new digital amplifier from Kenwood that will be available at the beginning of November this year. The mini audio system is compatible with SD, SDHC, miniSD, microSD, microSDHC cards (up to 32GB of memory), and supports MP3, WMA, and AAC audio files. Kenwood’s new GPS navigation system, the Kenwood DNX7120, comes equipped with a 6.95 inch LCD touchscreen and features the same GUI as Garmin. The maps include United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. This gadget has the ability to control your Apple iPod or other portable music player. The eXcelon DNX-8120 is the new navigation and entertainment system from Kenwood and Garmin. The gadget features a 6.95 inch touchscreen dislay, bluetooth connectivity, special iPod control, and supports SAT and HD Radio. The eXcelon DNX-8120 is priced at between $1300 and $1600. [Engadget]

Kenwood will be making 50 high-end compact stereo systems for the R-K1 K Series Silver Limited. It features supreme EX tone quality technology, Wolfson D/A conversion unit WM8740, and separate power supplies for key audio elements. Congrats to Kenwood for the launch of their very first digital PCM recorder. It comes with 2GB of internal memory and SDHC card support. The MGR-A7 supports MP3 and WMA files, uses the Wolfson WM8985 digital amplifier, and has continuous recording time of 12.5h in PCM or 19h in both MP3 and WMA modes. No word on pricing or availability for this badboy.

Kenwood has announced their drop of new stereo systems known as the CLK-7i-S and CLK-5i-S/W.
The CLK-7i-S features CD/MD/USB, 2x 10W speakers, CD/CD-RW/MP3/WMA/DRM, iPod connection cable, and costs $447. The CLK-5i-S/W features a white exterior, $358, CD/MD/USB, 2x 10W speakers, CD/CD-RW/MP3/WMA/DRM, and iPod connection as well. Rock out with both models or just one this holiday season!
