Medigenic Keyboard

Did you know that the average computer keyboard holds more germs than the average toilet? A few arguments as to why the keyboard accumulate so many germs are that people eat meat and other high bacteria foods over the keyboard, the keyboard rarely gets washed, and many people often share a keyboard (like at work, internet cafe, or the library).

This fact is inspired a company called Esterline to design the Medigenic Infection-Control Keyboard that features a flat keyboard design that can be quickly wiped clean. There is also a backlight that allows the keyboard to be used in low-light environments and a warning light that will flash to remind you whenever it is time for a clean up. The Medigenic keyboard retails for around $140, while the mouse is priced at approx. $80. [OhGizmo]
