Kia Premieres KOUP Concept

Debuted at the 2008 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), the Kia KOUP’s aggressive exterior lines are backed by a 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged engine equipped with a GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) twin scroll turbocharger that puts out 290 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. “The Kia KOUP concept represents the future of the Kia brand and its dynamic vehicles that speak to our core philosophies,” said Tom Kearns, chief designer of Kia Motors America (KMA). “Kia strives to appeal to the emotional side of car enthusiasts who seek adventure and want to take a leap into the future with style and advanced technology, and the KOUP effectively delivers.” [Kia]

Kia Soul Burner Concept Car

Kia Motors unveiled its concept car SOUL Burner during 2008 the Geneva Motor Show. The Kia SOUL Burner features an all black color with tattoos of a large dragon creeping over the hood and a small dragon climbing up the C-Pillar. The front bumper comes with L-shaped day-light LED driving lamps around the outer edges and the rear has two vertical exhaust pipes on the extremes of the bumper and lastly the inside of the SOUL Burner has four individual sports seats and cabin trim divided horizontally. KIA Pro-cee’d Three-door Hatchback Car

Here is the first preview of the new KIA Pro-cee’d three-door hatchback car which will make its world premiere at Frankfurt International Motor Show on 11 September this year. The new model has been developed by KIA’s design team in Europe and manufactured in Slovakia. Production of the Pro-cee’d model range is scheduled to begin in November with first customer sales during the early months of 2008.
