Some people saw it as a bad thing when Amazon announced they were out of stock of their Kindle and would not be restocking that model anymore. Of course Amazon is much smarter than that and they are rolling out some brand new models instead. This new model will be 21 percent smaller, 15 percent lighter and will have a 20 percent faster refresh rate. It will come in two different colors, white and graphite and have two different versions, one with 3G capability and one with only WiFi. Upcoming Kindle Touch

Word has it that Amazon will launch the Kindle Touch in the near future thanks to Amazon’s acquisition of multi-touch display manufacturer Touchco. For your info, Touchco’s touchscreen technology is designed to be cheap (under $10 a square foot) and uses a resistive display technology called interpolating force-sensitive resistance. This transparent display is able to detect an infinite number of simultaneous touches. Sadly, there is no official confirmation from Amazon about the Kindle Touch. Stay tuned for more updates. Amazon Kindle DX Announced: $489, Ships This Summer

Amazon has finally announced the price tag for its latest wireless reading device ‘Kindle DX’, which is priced at $489. Amazon is now taking pre-orders of the Kindle DX, but an estimated ship date remains unknown other than this summer.
