The LaCinema can double up as a USB 2.0 external hard drive and has AV options including composite, S-video and component video, analog stereo, and optical and coaxial surround-capable digital jacks. The LaCinema Premier is available in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities going for $250, $350 and $500. Not a bad deal at all.

The 1080p 16:10 display supports 92 percent NTSC gamut, 10-bit gamma correction and embedded Faroudja DCDi and TrueLife tech. It comes with Plugs such as: VGA, DVI and dual HDMI, with HDCP support for watching some HD movies after a long day. There are also three USB 2.0 ports and a headphone jack, and LaCie has dropped in the blue eye pro for automatic hardware color correction. This monitor should arrive sometime in January for $1050.

LaCie Unveils Ethernet Disk mini

LaCie unveiled its new home version of the Ethernet Disk mini NAS drive which will be released in October for around $200. The LaCie Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition is a 500GB personal media server which offers Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity. The device allows users the ability to offer remote access to others for files stored on it and can also be used to back up and synchronize a home computer automatically. The device also allows users to stream of multimedia files through DLNA-compatible UPnP media players and acts as an iTunes music server.

If LaCie 2big hard drives don’t excite you, the company also announced the 500GB Golden Disk external hard drive which was designed by French designer Ora-Ïto. The hard drive is compatible with both PC and Mac, sports a USB 2.0 interface, and LaCie’s own 1-Click backup software to boot. The Golden Disk will be released in October for $189.

LaCie Unveils 2big Hard Drives

LaCie kicked off the launch of a new line of 2big hard drives which include the 2big Dual, 2big Triple and the 2big Network. They ranged in capacity from 1TB to 2TB, and all include a new “thermoregulated progressive smart fan” to keep things cool and quiet. The 2Big Dual sports eSATA II and USB 2.0, while the 2Big Triple provides both FireWire and USB 2.0. The 2Big Network is an Ethernet version that can act as a file sharing or backup server. These LaCie hard drives will be available in September and starting at $399.

Lacie Big Disk Extreme+ External Hard Drive

The Lacie Big Disk Extreme+ comes equipped with three interfaces including FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. Inside the drive case, the mechanisms spin at 7200 RPM and feature 32MB of combined data cache. The hard drive is available in 1TB and 1.5TB configurations for $349.99 and $599 respectively, a 2TB model is coming in August for $849.
