The Epson Endeaver NJ2050 low-cost laptop is using Microsoft’s Windows XP Home Edition operating system and boasts a 1.73GHz Celeron processor, 40GB hard drive, and 256MB of RAM. Unfortunately, this laptop has only a standard CD-ROM drive. It’s a great laptop for those who don’t need those expensive notebooks with high specs. The Epson NJ2050 retails for around $590.

Other features include 15.4 inch WXGA Widescreen TFT Screen with SuperClear Technology, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 256 MB dedicated graphics, Integrated 6 -in-1 card reader, wireless 802.11 a/b/g LAN and Bluetooth. Pricing is still in mystery.

Mainstream PC manufacturer Gateway has released its latest tablet PC. Known as the E155C, it looks like a normal laptop with the inclusion of a swivel hinge and digitizer. The tablet offers a 12.1 inch 1280 x 800 widescreen display, an internal optical drive, a biometric fingerprint scanner, an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 processor, Gigabit Ethernet, and WiFi connectivity. Its recommended retail price is at around $1,850.
Intel has introduced the “metro notebook” portable PC concept for the ladies at Intel Developer Forum in Beijing. The “metro notebook” is an ultra-light 2.2lbs laptop that features an always-on secondary display for fast info updates. It is designed to be carried over the shoulder. The concept also features an antenna, which is able to switch between the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and WiMAX links.
Fujitsu’s Vista-powered P1610 Tablet PC offers a swiveling 8.9-inch WXGA touchscreen display for maximum portability. Other features include, a 1.2GHz Intel Core Solo U1400 processor, 512MB/1GB of DDR2 memory, 80GB HDD, and a biometric fingerprint reader. Watch the review after the jump!
The limited edition LG Xnote S1 is now available in Korea with a nice “Return to Nature” signature on the body. As a reminder, the Xnote S1 QP740K laptop boasts the 15.4 inch WSXGA+ screen, the 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo T7400 processor, 2GB of memory, 160GB of disk space, and an ATI Radeon X1600 with 256MB of VRAM.

Panasonic has upgraded the Y5 notebook with fingerprint sensor for added security. Measuring 309.6mm × 245.5mm × 28 – 44.5mm and weighing at 3.3-pounds, the laptop also offers a 1.50-GHz Intel Core Duo L2300 low-voltage edition CPU, 512MB of memory, 60GB hard drive, DVD Super Multi drive, and a bright 14-inch SXGA+ display. LG Korea has announced the availability of the X400 series laptops in Korea. Available in blue and white, the laptop comes jam packed with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 1.73 Ghz, 1GB DDR2 memory, 120 GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon X2300, and 14.1 inch widescreen display. The LG X-Note X400 series is available only in Korea. No word on pricing yet.
