LG Electronics has recently unveiled their flagship 24-inch widescreen LCD display at IFA 2007. The screen is an expensive machine for multimedia users with 1920 x 1200 resolution and HDMI support. Graphics professionals and photographers will definitely love this display because of its high contrast and brightness. The display also can be rotated from landscape to portrait thanks to its pivot function. The L245WP offers 8ms response time, 1000:1 contrast, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 degrees viewing angle, and USB 2.0 port.

Dell SP2008WFP 20-incher With Webcam

Dell’s SP2008WFP 20-inch LCD display offers 1680 x 1050 resolution, 2ms response time, 300cd/m2 brightness level, and 2000:1 contrast ratio. The screen also sports DVI with HDCP, four USB 2.0 ports, and a 2MP still / VGA video webcam (fixed focus) with array microphone. The Dell SP2008WFP will be released in September 12. No word on pricing yet.

Toshiba DPF7XSE 7 Inch Digiframe With DivX Support

The Toshiba DPF7XSE has a 7 inch LCD screen (800 x 480pixel), dual one-watt stereo speakers, SD / MMC / CF / Memory Stick support, USB 2.0 connectivity, and 256MB of built-in storage space. The gadget also supports JPEG, MP3, WMA, MPEG4, and DivX file formats and comes with a infrared remote and USB cable. Toshiba DPF7XSE is scheduled for spring release. No word on pricing so far.

Philips 132-inch Display Shows 3D Picture

Philips’ new 132 inch display can display 3-D pictures without the need for using the glasses. It is actually nine 42-inch displays that placed together on a 3 x 3 grid. Using WOWvx 3-D technology, it tricks your eyes and brain into thinking they’re seeing depth within the room-sized frame. Each one of those nine displays retails for $12,000, the whole setup will cost around $100,000.

Samsung SyncMaster 220TN And 225UW At IFA 2007

The Korean giant is proudly displaying their SyncMaster 220TN and 225UW VoIP LCD displays at the IFA 2007. These two 22 inch LCD monitor models with VoIP functions boasts simple networking modules allowing you to go online and make video calls when connected to LAN cable even without a PC. The screens offers 1680×1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 2.0MP camera, microphone, and speakers. The SyncMaster 220TN and 225UW VoIP LCD displays are also equipped with 500MHz Geode LX800 processor, 1GB flash memory, 256MB RAM and WinXP embedded. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability so far.

LG Releases DivX Certified Time Machine TV Series

DIVX and LG have launched the DivX certified Time Machine TV Series both in Plasma and LCD versions, that includes three LCD models, the 47LB5RE, 42LB5RT, 37LB4RT and two plasma models, the 50PB4RT and 42PB4RT. These TVs deliver remarkable image and audio quality for digital content using much less bandwidth than regular analog devices. The series also features a built-in 80GB hard disk drive for Time Shift function and recording, USB 2.0 port for backing up recorded content and MP3, JPEG and DivX playback capability. LG’s DivX -certified Time Machine TV Series is now available in Europe, China and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The new 120Hz Full HD LCD TVs from LG comes with a wooden frame. The XCANVAS models feature a 178-degree viewing angle, new XD processing engine, a HDMI connection and a USB-host jack facilitating users to enjoy multimedia content (music, photo and video). The sizes available are 42″ (42LY4D), 47″ (47LY4D), and 52″ (52LY4D). These LCD screens are available only in Korea for now.

Planar Releases Three New LCD Screens

Planar adds three new LCD screens in their PX line up. The new 26-, 24- and 22-inch PX wide screen monitors are designed for graphics professionals. The 26 inch PX2611W features 800:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 1920×1200 resolution, 500cd/m2 brightness, and 178/178 degrees viewing angle. The 24-inch PX2411W comes with the same resolution, 450cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast, and 6ms response time. The last model is the PX2211W that offers 300cd/m2 brightness, 1680 x 1050 resolution, and same other specs as PX2611W. The 22″, 24″ and 26″ monitors are now available at $300, $600, and $900 respectively.
