Viewsonic Offers Four Affordable Quality Monitors

Viewsonic unveiled four new monitors which are priced below $300. These LCD screens are the 19″ VA1926w, 20″ VA2026w, and the 22″ (21.6″ viewable) VA2226w in the new widescreen line, with only one monitor announced in the traditional 4:3 format (the VA926 19″ monitor). These new Viewsonic’s monitors offer a 2000:1 contrast ratio, Dynamic Contrast to adjust black levels based on screen content, 300 nits of brightness, 5ms response time and support both traditional VGA connections and DVI.

NEC LCD2470WVX Tilt LCD Display

NEC has unveiled the new LCD2470WVX LCD display, which is the latest addition to the MultiSync 70 line of LCDs. The screen measures 24″ in a widescreen format and has a maximum resolution of 1,900 x 1,200. What makes this LCD screen cool is that it can pivot, swivel, and tilt for the best alignment possible, including pure vertical. With a thin bezel, the LCD2470WVX is extremely suitable for multi-monitor use. Other specifications include a brightness level of 400cd/m2, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a response time of 5ms. No word on the release date so far.

Samsung SyncMaster CX940UX 19-inch Monitor

The Samsung SyncMaster CX940UX was recently launched in Korea. It is a 19 inch monitor that supports multi-display function via USB cable. The display features patented solution for controlling up to six monitors using USB cable; the monitors could be easily hooked up without complicated installation process using additional graphic card or driver. Using its two USB ports, you can also use the monitor as a USB hub. According to the firm, a 22-inch SyncMaster model will be launched in late October.

Lenovo L220x 22-Inch Monitor

Lenovo’s L220x 22-inch monitor is the first to feature a 1920 by 1200 resolution screen, which is good for HD content. The LCD screen offers auto-rotation from portrait to landscape mode and 92% color gamut. Sadly, it only has VGA/DVI jacks but no an HDMI port or component inputs. Lenovo L220x monitor retails for around $550.

NEC’s New AccuSync LCDs

NEC has recently released a trio of new AccuSync LCDs for gamers and other video-conscious users. The 19-inch LCD19WMGX, 22-inch LCD22WMGX, and 24-inch LCD24WMCX are support HDCP encryption to display video from Blu-Ray, HD DVD, and other protected sources at the full resolution of the display, up to a full 1080p on the 24-inch model. The 22-inch display also sport a native HDMI connection that feeds audio and video, allowing users to hook up a PlayStation 3 or a dedicated movie player to the LCD without an adapter or occupying the DVI port. These larger screens also have a special DV mode with six presets optimized for different game and movie settings.

These LCD screens offers a quick 5ms pixel response time, and produces a relatively vivid image through dynamic contrast ratios of 1,000:1 for the 19-inch AccuSync and 2,000:1 for the 22-inch and 24-inch panels. The LCD19WMGX and LCD22WMGX retail for $280 and $380 respectively, while the LCD24WMCX will be available in late September for $550.

Graphics professionals and photographers will definitely love this display because of its high contrast and brightness. The display also can be rotated from landscape to portrait thanks to its pivot function. The L245WP offers 8ms response time, 1000:1 contrast, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 degrees viewing angle, and USB 2.0 port.

Dell SP2008WFP 20-incher With Webcam

Dell’s SP2008WFP 20-inch LCD display offers 1680 x 1050 resolution, 2ms response time, 300cd/m2 brightness level, and 2000:1 contrast ratio. The screen also sports DVI with HDCP, four USB 2.0 ports, and a 2MP still / VGA video webcam (fixed focus) with array microphone. The Dell SP2008WFP will be released in September 12. No word on pricing yet.

Toshiba DPF7XSE 7 Inch Digiframe With DivX Support

The Toshiba DPF7XSE has a 7 inch LCD screen (800 x 480pixel), dual one-watt stereo speakers, SD / MMC / CF / Memory Stick support, USB 2.0 connectivity, and 256MB of built-in storage space. The gadget also supports JPEG, MP3, WMA, MPEG4, and DivX file formats and comes with a infrared remote and USB cable. Toshiba DPF7XSE is scheduled for spring release. No word on pricing so far.
