
NEC has rolled out another eco-friendly LCD monitor aimed specifically at office users. Dubbed as the MultiSync LCD175M, this new 17-inch LCD monitor is an energy efficient display, reducing power consumption by almost 42% compared to regular panels. As for the specs itself, it provides a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness and features an EPEAT Gold rating, a TCO 5.0 certification and Energy Star 5.0 compliance. Mitsubishi Electric has unveiled its latest 23-inch LCD monitor for the Japanese market called the Diamondcrysta WIDE RDT231WM-X. This widescreen monitor offers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 3.8ms response time, 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 300 cd/m2 brightness. It also features an IPS panel, a dedicated remote control and several connectivity ports including two HDMI, DVI-D (HDCP) and D-Sub. The T230H is the latest addition to Acer’s LCD monitor range that boasts multi-touch capabilities. This new 23-inch widescreen monitor provides a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 80,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 2ms response time and 160/160 degrees viewing angle. EIZO has recently released another energy-efficient LCD monitor for the European market. Known as the FlexScan EV2313W, this 23-inch widescreen monitor provides a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 4ms GTG response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and consumes just 16W during normal operation or less than 0.9W under power save mode. LG Electronics of Korea today released the Flatron W30 series notebook monitors (LG W1930S and W2230S) in South Korea. Available in Apple Mint, Jelly Pink, Oreo, Hawaiian and Blueberry, these monitors are designed for netbook users who want to enjoy movies and games in a bigger display screen.
