
BenQ Japan today announced two new Full HD LCD monitors in the form of the 22 Inch G2220HD and the 24 inch G2411HD. Both monitors provide 1920×1080 resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio, a dynamic contrast ratio up to 40000:1 with a minimum of 1000:1, a brightness of 300cd/m2, and HDMI port on the 24 inch. Princeton of Japan comes back with a new 21.5 inch LCD monitor which is dubbed as the PTFBGF-22RW. The LCD screen is able to produce a native 1080p resolution, and features 16:9 native aspect ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio, 10,000:1 dynamic ratio, 5ms response time, 160-degree vertical viewing angle and 170-degree horizontal viewing angle. Other connectivity options include a VGA port, two HDMI ports, a headphone output and a 3.5mm audio jack input. Australia-based Mad Uncle Cliff has designed the steampunk monitor that looks cool. It uses an LCD panel as its base, while the mod requires some copper piping, a spray pump and two 40mm speaker horns. No word on pricing or availability. [MAKE]

The IP65 is the latest water-dust proof LCD monitor from Collevo that can be used for outdoor purpose. The screen comes in sizes of 26-inch, 32-inch, and 40-inch with 1366×768 resolution, and 42-inch with 1920×1080 resolution. The Mimo UM-710 is an USB-powered 7 inch LCD screen that boasts a resolution of 800×480. You can use this screen with your notebook via USB. The Mimo UM-710 provides a contrast ratio of 400:1, and a brightness of 350cd/m². You can choose your orientation of your screen in vertical or horizontal position. Here is a new 20 inch monitor from Barco, that has the ability to render four times more shades of colors than most monitors (1024 levels). This monitor is specially designed for medical applications. The Barco MDRC-2120 boasts a 1600×1200 resolution. [Ubergizmo]

LG has decided to release its W2442PA-BF 24 inch LCD monitor that comes jam packed with 300cd/m2 brightness level, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, Dynamic contraste feature, 2ms response time, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios supported, 160 to 170 degrees viewing angle, 1 watt speakers, HDMI, DVI-D ports, and VGA port. BenQ will launch their M2400HD 24-Inch LCD screen on November 1st, 2008. The LCD monitor offers 1920×1080 resolution, a brightness is 300cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (with a DCR of 10,000:1), a response time of 5ms, AMA (Advanced Motion Accelerator) and Senseye Technology. The kewl factor for this monitor is that it provides a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, which is capable of being boosted to 20,000:1.
