
Good news for folks who are living in Japan because Asus has announced the availability of its Asus MS236H 23-inch LCD display in that country. The Asus MS236H (Designo MS) provides a Full HD resolution (1920×1080) with a 250 cd/m2 brightness level, a 2ms response time, and a 50000:1 active contrast ratio. Bang & Olufsen today introduced a new 55-inch model of its BeoVision 7 LCD video system that offers customers more options and enhanced picture quality. The new 55-inch BeoVision 7 uses the Bang & Olufsen BeoSystem 3 video engine, double frame rate technology at 120Hz, motion compensation and progressive scanning backlight, which produce clear and sharp picture quality even during fast-moving scenes.

Samsung will show off their latest 55-inch Full HD 3D LCD panel at the IMID expo in South Korea. This newly developed 3D LCD panel provides a 240Hz refresh rate that allows the content to seem more natural, vibrant and create no ghosting as compared to lower 120Hz 3D TVs. Alphascan will launch a couple of new 16:9 HD monitors ‘Femme Crystal’ in the South Korean market. The 24-inch model ‘Femme Crystal P241DHS’ features 60000:1 contrast ratio, 2ms response time, HDMI port and built-in speaker, meanwhile the 21.5-inch model ‘Femme Crystal P221D’ supports 50000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time. Dell has finally released the Ultrasharp U2410 and ST2410 LCD monitors in the US market. The Dell U2410 adopts an IPS panel, providing 96% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. It also supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 6ms response time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 400 cd/m2 brightness and comes with several connectivity ports including VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and four USB ports. A budget alternative, the ST2410, is also new and uses a less color-rich TN (twisted nematic) panel as well as a lower 50,000:1 contrast ratio. NuVision is famous for its high-quality 1080p Deep Black LCD displays. The company will exhibit its limited edition pink-framed 32-inch Lucidium FX5 Series LCD at CEDIA 2009. These LCD HDTVs boast a high-quality razor-sharp picture, an elegant pink frame and, most importantly, a portion of the revenue will be donated to breast cancer research. The Lucidium FX5 utilities Film Times Five (FX5) and Frame Forward Motion (FFM) technologies that create a 120Hz high refresh rate and produce clear and flicker-free motion sequences by comparing two consecutive frames and generating additional interpolated frames. HP comes back with their largest computer LCD display known as the 2709m. This 27-inch monitor supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a 5ms On/Off response times (typical), a 3ms Gray to Gray response times, a 400 nits brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 30,000 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 92% color gamut. The next generation of CinemaView displays will be equipped with Mini DisplayPort connectors alongside a TV add-on. The new models will be larger than its predecessors and will start with the 24-inch model. The new screen now features four USB ports, 2ms of response time and 1,000:1 contrast ratio. The price still remains at $499 each, but its launch has been moved back two months to October 2009.
Meanwhile, the new CinemaView 47 is a hybrid TV/PC display that comes with similar resolutions as that of a dedicated computer display, although it relies on Mini DisplayPort for input. The screen provides four USB 2.0 ports, 4ms response time and 4,000:1 contrast ratio. The CinemaView 47 will be launched in January 2010 for $1,499. [Electronista]

Samsung Korea just rolled out its new 20.1-inch “Touch of Color” LED monitor, which is dubbed as the SyncMaster XL2370.
