The Viseo MDT243WG is Mitsubishi’s brand new 24.1-inch LCD that produces WUXGA resolution with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 500cd/m2 brightness level. Available in Satin Black, this LCD monitor also features two HDMI ports, S-Video, DVI-D (HDCP), D-Sub 15, and a couple of 5-Watts speakers. Philips has rolled out its new LCD display with a built-in infrared presence sensor. Known as the Philips Brilliance, the LCD monitor adopts “PowerSensor” technology, which can detect whether you’re sat in front of it or not and adjust brightness accordingly. If you get up from your chair and move away from the monitor, the brightness will immediately dim to reduce power consumption by 50%. You can also configure the sensor’s sensitivity The sensor is able to detect between 30cm and 120cm from the screen. If you plan to buy a new 19-inch widescreen LCD, then check out the new LCD screen from Iiyama. The ProLite E1908WS-B features WSXGA+ (1680×1050) resolution with a 20000:1 contrast ratio (ACR). Other features include a DVI-D HDCP and D-Sub connector. No info on pricing so far. [Akihabara]

Acer today launched two desktops and one LCD display. The new Aspire M5800 tower comes jam packed with a 2.66GHz Core 2 Quad CPU with a 8GB of RAM, a 1.5GB GeForce GT230 graphics, a 740GB drive and a HDMI out for $800. Meanwhile, the Aspire M3800 and X3810 feature a 2.5GHz Pentium with an integrated X4500 graphics and a HDMI out. The Aspire M3800 and X3810 retails for $450 in a tower or $529 in a low-profile case. Acer also released the 23-inch H235H LCD display, which offers a 1080p resolution, a 2ms response time, a 160-degree viewing angle, and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio for $239. More

LG has released two new wireless 55-inch LCD HDTVs in the form of 55LH95 and 55LH93. Both LCDs feature the company’s latest ultrathin LED-backlit sets and packs a total of 3,360 LEDs, which is around seven times that used in most edge-lit LED TVs. Other features include a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a wireless feature which allows various devices such as DVD players and game consoles connected to the local network to transmit information wirelessly without the need for an HDMI cable. Samsung will release its new VC240 LCD monitor this Fall 2009. The 24-inch LCD screen boasts an integrated 5-megapixel webcam for HD desktop video conferencing. Priced at $1,999, this LCD screen is also compatible with virtually all VoIP systems and SIP control units, so you can use this as business communications tool. Steelcase today launched the Eyesite, which is an innovative monitor arm that can be configured to support up to three 24-inch LCDs in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. When not needed the arm also folds almost flat to give more desk space. The arm can also be adjusted up and down with a feather-touch adjustment. Here is the latest 23-inch LCD screen from Eizo that comes equipped with a Display Port and DVI-D (HDCP). Known as the FlexScan EV2333W-H, the monitor features 1920×1080 resolution with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, a 7ms response time, and a 300cd/m2 brightness level. The LG will release the LED Blu display that was debuted at CES 2009. Measuring at only 20mm thin, this 24-inch LED backlight LCD monitor will come with Full HD support at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a fast 2ms response time.
