AOC’s V22 Verfino is a 22 inch LED backlit panel at 1,680 x 1,050 resolution that provides 100,000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI inputs, 2ms response time, Dynamic contrast ratio control. I think this LCD monitor is perfect for gaming purpose. [Engadget]

ViewSonic has recently released its 24 inch LCD HDTV known as the VT2430. It boasts 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 nits of brightness, integrated ATSC/NTSC/QAM TV tuner, HDMI 1.3 (with HDCP), VGA, Component, S-Video, Composite, and TV/cable input, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Japanese manufacturer Iiyama comes back with new entry-level LCDs in the form of the 22 inch ProLite E2209HDS and the 24 inch ProLite B2409HDS. Both LCD screens support Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 300cd/m2. What makes these monitors special are that they also provide HDMI, DVI-D, and analog RBG input. The 22 inch ProLite E2209HDS and the 24 inch ProLite B2409HDS are priced at 29800 Yen and 34800 Yen, respectively. [Iiyama]

The IP65 is the latest water-dust proof LCD monitor from Collevo that can be used for outdoor purpose. The screen comes in sizes of 26-inch, 32-inch, and 40-inch with 1366×768 resolution, and 42-inch with 1920×1080 resolution. The Collevo Waterproof LCD monitor also features contrast ratio up to 1,500:1, and operating temperatures up to 50 degrees centigrade. [Digitimes]

The Mimo UM-710 is an USB-powered 7 inch LCD screen that boasts a resolution of 800×480. You can use this screen with your notebook via USB. The Mimo UM-710 provides a contrast ratio of 400:1, and a brightness of 350cd/m². You can choose your orientation of your screen in vertical or horizontal position. The new widescreen monitor offers a 1680×1050 resolution, 96% wide color gamut coverage of AdobeRGB, automatic brightness adjustment, 1000:1 typical contrast ratio, 16ms response time, XtraView+ 178-degree viewing angle, and four-way ergonomic stand. You can purchase this new widescreen display in December 2008 onwards for approx. $637. Acer comes back with a couple of new LCD displays in the form of the 21.5 inch H223HQbmid and the 24 inch H243Hbmid. Both models offer 1,920 x 1,080, HDMI port, and are able to be used as full HD displays for your entertainment needs.
