
Sharp will introduce two models in the new LE925 Series of 3D-compatible AQUOS Quattron 3D LCD TVs with four-primary-color technology, which is based on its proprietary UV2A technology. The new technology adds Y (yellow) to the three RBG (red, blue, green) primary colors, dramatically improving the ability to faithfully reproduce colors. These LCD TVs also provide an impressive 3D images with screen brightness higher than previous models (LE925 Series). Samsung has decided to release the 22-inch and 26-inch LED TVs in India. Both LED TVs support a full HD support, a high dynamic contrast ratio, Allshare, Anynet, HDMI ports and Touch of Color (ToC) design. In case you didn’t know, the LED LCD TV uses LEDs as their light source that produces better picture quality than a conventional LCD. The power consumption is also reduced by 40% compared to LCD HDTVs and does not use environment harming materials like mercury and lead. BenQ has entered the LED-backlit LCD TV market by releasing the 42-inch XT4242. Measuring 4cm thick, this LED-backlit LCD TV provides a Full HD resolution and a 120MHz video technology. The BenQ XT4242 also consumes less power than its competitor thanks to the LED-backlight technology. What’s more, the BenQ XT4242 provides four HDMI-in ports (two on the back and two on the side), a single USB port, one VGA port, audio in/SPDIF out ports and A/V connectors. Korean giant Samsung has officially announced the stunning 9000 Series of LED LCD TV that was introduced at 2010 CES. The Samsung 9000 Series LED LCD TV is now available in the South Korean market. The 9.8mm thick luxury TV uses a 3D proprietary system and supports Wi-Fi and DLNA. It is also compatible with Energy Star 4.0. No word on pricing so far. [Akihabara]

Newsight has recently demonstrated a series of 3D naked-eye displays at the Finetech Japan 2010 in Tokyo. One of these 3D naked-eye displays is the 70-inch 3D display model, which the company claimed to be the largest in the world. Newsight’s parallax barrier technology allows the viewer to see the 3D images without wearing glasses. Unfortunately, it is not clear whether Newsight’s technology can only be viewed from one exact position in front of the screen or not. [Digitimes]

If you are looking for a high-end LCD TV, then the Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10-46 might be the best answer for you. The 46-inch LCD TV is the big brother to the 40-inch version of BeoVision 10 but features the same technical specifications such as a LED backlight and 200Hz refresh rate. The BeoVision 10-46 will hit selected markets in April 2010. Too bad, there is no info on pricing so far. LG has proudly introduced the world’s thinnest LCD TV panel, which measures at only 2.6mm thick. Weighing at just 4Kg, this 42-inch LCD TV panel is 50% thinner than LG’s previous model and is capable of delivering Full HD content in 1080p (1920 x 1080). Toshiba is set to introduce their latest LCD TV ‘Regza 32A900S’ for the Japanese market. This new 32-inch TV provides 1366 x 768 native resolution, 4000:1 contrast ratio, 40,000 dynamic contrast ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. DX Antenna Japan is set to drop their latest LCD TV ‘LVW-193′ for the Japanese market. This new 19-inch TV supports a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 800:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and provides 170 degree viewing angle.
