
AUO will be releasing ultra-slim 42†TFT LCDs with LED technology. It comes with white LEDs to reduce power consumption as well as simplifying the driving circuit, birghtness of 450 units and a contrast ratio of 200,000 to 1. Samsung will be dropping a High Bright DID panel later this month. It features 1,500 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, 16.7 million colors, 178-degree viewing angles and a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. No word on pricing as of right now. [Slash Gear]

Bis-Life of Japan has released a 19†LCD TV. It features a 16:10 ratio and a 1440×900 resolution, a 300cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 800:1 along with a built-in DVD player and a 2×1.5w speaker. Get yours for about 338€ in Japan. [Akihabara]

HANNSpree comes back with a new LCD TV. Dubbed as the Starlight Blue, the monitor is inspired by a starry night sky. The 15 inch LCD TV provides 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, 500cdm2 brightness, 500:1 contrast ratio, and 150 degrees viewing angle with 2 x 2 Watt speakers. The Starlight Blue is priced at £99. When you first see this badboy, you think of the year 3000 and space cars don’t you? Well the Humax LCD TV concept gives off that vibe and more, designed by London’s Tej Chauhan, the future-retro model looks old and new at the same time. There’s no word on whether this is going to get turned into a real product, but you can check it out in Italy at the Zona Tortona design show from April 16th to the 21st. [TechDigest]

Samsung will present the XL24 and XL30 LCD TV’s in Korea that both feature LED backlight technology. The 24-inch version is going for $3,089 and the bigger one is $5,885. [Akihabara]

Sony will released their new B4000 series this quarter. Every model includes virtual surround sound, Sony’s trademark “BRAVIA Engine,” dual HDMI ports, and integrated Freeview digital TV tuners, your choice of white and mocha. Unfortunately this series is only available in Europe right now. No word on release dates or pricing.

byd:Sign Japan today released a new 42inch LCD Full HDTV that offers four HDMI ports with a brightness of 900 cd/m2, SRS Surround and Digital TV Tuner. The LCD TV is priced at approx. $1400.

That’s right! Sony Japan is now accepting pre-orders for the super slim XEL-1 OLED TV. As a reminder, this 11inch TV is the world’s slimmest with at just 3mm thick. The screen sports a resolution of 960×540, contrast ratio of 1000000:1 and comes with a digital TV tuner. The super slim XEL-1 OLED TV is available for $ 1800 with a 3 year warranty.

The Sharp Japan has recently introduced three new AQUOS P Series of LCD TV’s. These LCD offers 400cd/m2 brightness and 176 degrees viewing angle. Other features include dual TV tuners analog / digital, 2 x HDMI input, DVI-D terminal, analog RGB, and onboard speakers that deliver an output of 5W×2ch. Only the 32 inch model that supports Full HD option (1,920×1,080). Piricng info is still unknown.
