Samsung has announced two new LCD HDTV monitors to its range by releasing the 19-inch 933HD+ (1360 x 768) and 23-inch 2333HD (1920 x 1080). Both monitors provide 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 16: 9 aspect ratio, 5ms response time, Dolby Digital support (2333HD) and come with an integrated digital TV tuner. Remember the Samsung XL2370 LED LCD Monitor that we mentioned back in July? This 23-inch widescreen monitor is finally making its way to US market starting on October 12th. In case you’ve forgotten, the XL2370 offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2ms response time, 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 160/170 degress viewing angle and an HDMI output. Sony is about to release its new Quad Full High Definition (QFHD) LCD display for the Japanese market called the TRIMASTER SRM-L560. This new 56-inch widescreen monitor is based on a-SI TI active matrix LCD panel and provides a stunning native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, 10bit RGB LED backlight and 170/170 degrees viewing angle. The monitor also supports various display modes including 4K/QFHD mode (4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160), Quad View mode (2048 x 1080, 1920 x 1080 etc), 2K/HD Zoom mode (2048 x 1080, 1920 x 1080 etc) and Native Scan mode with shift function for side cut images. Toshiba has unveiled its first cell-powered LCD TV ‘Cell Regza 55X1′ for the Japanese market. This new 55-inch widescreen TV uses the same Cell Technology as found in the Sony PS3 for delivering outstanding picture quality. It also offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 240Hz scanning, 1,250 cd/m2 brightness, 5,000,000 contrast ratio, an internet browser made by Opera Software, DLNA support, a 7-speaker sound bar, an SD card slot, HDMI and USB ports and a tuner box that includes a 3TB of storage space, with 2TB of that is dedicated to time-shift recording (recording up to 26 hours of programs for up to eight channels). Philips has introduced the latest addition to its LCD monitor range by releasing the Brilliance 225P1ES. This new 22-inch widescreen monitor offers a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, built-in two 1.5W speakers, plus D-Sub, DVI and USB connectors. Here’s the latest space-saving LCD TV series from LG, the LU7000. Coming in 19-inch and 22-inch sizes, these small screen HD Ready TVs offer a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a built-in DVD player, a Freeview tuner, invisible speakers with SRS TruSurround XT, a USB 2.0 port and two HDMI connectors. Iodata is gearing up to release another energy-efficient monitor for the Japanese market. Dubbed as the AD197GEW, this new 19-inch LCD monitor supports a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and features 5ms response time, 800:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 160/160 degrees viewing angle, 1W+1W stereo speakers, a DVI port and consumes no more than 17.7W of power, with maximum power rated at 26W. HANNspree has come out with their first two HF series LCD monitors in the form of the 20-inch HF207AP and 23-inch HF237HP. The HF207AP only supports a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and features two connectivity ports including D-Sub and DVI. While the HF237HP offers a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and integrates three connectivity ports including D-Sub, DVI and HDMI. As for the rest of the specs, both monitors feature the same 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and two 1W speakers. BenQ has recently unveiled their upcoming 27-inch LCD monitor ‘M2700HDS’ during a press event in Japan. This new widescreen monitor offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and four 2.5W built-in speakers. AOC has rolled out another affordable eco-friendly LCD monitor that meets EPEAT Gold standards. Dubbed as the AOC 2436Vw, this new 24-inch LCD monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and features 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and consumes no more than 49W of power.
