
LG has unveiled its 26-inch high-end monitor W2600HP during CeBIT 2008. It features 1,920 x 1,200(WUXGA) resolution, 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness, 5ms response speed and 178-degree viewing angle, along with HDMI and USB 2.0 ports. No word on pricing or an exact release date, but I’m thinking the monitor will be pretty high. [AVING]

Greenhouse has introduced a brand new 22-inch LCD monitor in Japan. It has a WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050) resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000: contrast ratio and two-millisecond response time, the GH-JEF223SH-LB also has HDMI. Expect this 22-inch monitor to around 45,799 Yen or $438 for Americans. [Akihabara]

Korean Giant Samsung has released a new LCD display series for graphics professionals. One of them is the Samsung T260 26 inch widescreen LCD that provides 20,000:1 of contrast ratio, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 5ms response time, HDMI and optional digital TV tuner. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing so far. [Engadget]

NEC has dropped the MultiSync LCD5220 52″ display. The LCD5220 is used for digital signage applications and professional boardrooms. The 5220 features a full high-definition, wide-screen display and advanced digital signage technology suite (DSTS) and supports 1080i/p, 720p, 480i/p resolution and has a brightness level of 700 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. That’s right! Hyundai is currently developing the dual-view LCD technology that allows two different views between the driver and the front passenger from one centrally mounted LCD display. As a result, the driver can check outs the GPS map while the front passenger can enjoy latest Jennifer Lopez videos. According to the company, this newly developed monitor will be applied to Grandeur. [Gizmodo]

LG Electronics will launch its W52 series (model: W1952TQ/W2252TQ) in Korea. Which features 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response speed, a great Ez-zooming function enabling you to change the screen resolution in a single click, function Photo Effect an effect based on photoshop giving you access with a click of a button on the monitor, and a wide 4:3 ratio that will allow you to read everything from video game to photo files. Sony will release their 2 new M1 Bravia LCDs. The 20-inch which is going for $1,020 and 16-inch priced at $835 come with 1366×768 screens with 1,200:1 or 1,800:1 contrast ratios, Bravia engine 2 image processing, 24p true cinema 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs, and VOD and DLNA connectivity. By the way, the U.S price as well as release info is still not available for the U.S Bravia’s. [Sony]

Seems like Asus can’t resist dropping new LCD displays all the time. So here’s yet another one called the MK241H, which is a 24-inch LCD monitor featuring a 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI, D-SUB, and DVD-D (HDSC) inputs, with a sweet built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam. No word on pricing or availability, but it shouldn’t be long ladies and gents. [PCWatch]

If color accuracy is a problem then the Panasonic BH-LH1760 might be an impressive solution. It features a 120Hz refresh rate, an IPS panel, a 1,280 x 768 native resolution and “faithful color reproduction along with 2X the response speed. Additional features include a built-in waveform monitor and vectorscope, pixel-to-pixel matching capabilities and a slew of inputs including DVI, auto-switching HD-SDI / SDI, component and VGA. Here are a couple HDTV models by LG that will drop fairly soon. The LG6000 LCD HDTV series is made of 32-, 37-, 42- and 47-inch models that feature a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, “invisible” Mark Levinson speakers, automatic brightness and color optimization, four HDMI 1.3 inputs, a USB 2.0 port and TruMotion 100Hz technology on the 47-inch. While the 42-inch and 50-inch PG6000 plasmas come with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, THX Display certification and everything else from the previous two models.
