A DIY microscope that takes pictures. Sounds interesting, well CES thinks so too which is why Celestron is showcasing their LCD digital microscope there. It features 3.5-inch LCD, a 2 megapixel digital camera, and a magnification level of 40x, 128MB of internal memory and an SD card slot. Expect this one to drop in February, price is still unknown. Now you can do everything from taking photos of hotties to magnifying for a better look!

Plezo has just released their DVD/DIVX player called the PPD-1920S in Korea. It comes with 9.2-inch wide LCD that can rotate up to 270-degrees and can be connected to external devices like your TV, DMB, and navigation that also supports output with a MMC/SD card slot along with a cigar jack, earphone and a remote control. Both Korea and Japan have this baby right now for a retail price of $359.
Optoma of Korea has launched their new entertainment projector called the EP720. It comes with features like: SVGA(800×600) resolution, 2,200 ANSI lumen brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio, and a built-in speaker. Now you can view photos with sounds and weird noise effects to spice up your presentations or projects.
LG Philips will be displaying their new 52 and 84 inch multi-touch LCD display at CES 2008. The 52-inch multi-touch LCD with full 1080p, two touch detection 84-inch multi-touch LCD 2 x 4 array of 42-inch panels, with full 1080p resolution, 500cd/m2 brightness. However, it’s unknown whether these TV’s will be for sale or not.

LG has released two new models: the 19LG30 and 22LG20 which should reach the U.S. fairly soon. They can be used as as a computer monitors as well. The 19LG30 has a resolution of 1360×780 (19”) and 1680×1050 (22”). They feature the following Inputs: Antenna, Components, HDMI, RGB (VGA), RS-232C (service), S-video, Audio (2xRCA, L/R), Video (RCA).
LG has upgraded their XCanvas HDTV to 120Hz Full HD LCD screen for better image quality. In addition, it comes with a USB port, that plays your MP3′s and display your photos. The Xcanvas is available in Korea coming in 42, 47 and 52 inch versions.
BenQ in Japan is releasing a new PC monitor called the G900W 19-inch monitor which features a 19 inch screen, 1440×900 (WXGA+), D-SUB and DVI ports, 800:1 contrast, and 5ms of response time. $244
3S Digital will release their 55-inch 120Hz full HD LCD ‘XEVA’ at the upcoming CES 2008 in Las Vegas. The XEVA series features exclusive image technology ‘XEVA’ algorithm and is available from 20.1-inch to 55-inch.
Pixela has just released a new 20-inch LCD tv. It features HD-Ready resolution of 1366×768,HDMI port, and is going for $475. A standard LCD TV that includes HD resolution, nothing that great.
