
BenQ has added a new LED display to its range by releasing the G922HDL, the world’s first 18.5-inch LED backlight LCD display. This widescreen monitor offers 1366 x 768 WXGA resolution, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million:1 and comes with the Eco Mode feature. It also adopts BenQ’s patented Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology offering one touch optimization of image richness, clarity and depth using preset modes calibrated to specific applications and comes with both D-Sub and DVI inputs. JVC has showed off its new LED display in Times Square that offers 720p (1,280 x 720) resolution. This billboard is able to display 60 frames per second with only 8mm pixel pitch. [Engadget]

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich has unveiled the Nova 3D LED display in order to celebrate its 150th anniversary. Measuring 5 meters x 5 meters x 1 metes and weighing in at 3.3 tons, the Nova is the world’s largest 3D display that has 25000 lightballs, each containing 12 LED’s.
