
FujiFilm is back with its latest product namely the FujiFilm Acuity LED 1600 printer. This inkjet roll-to-roll and flatbed UV-LED wide-format printer is able to print up to 1,200dpi resolution and provides production speeds of up to 20sqm an hour for applications such as posters and point-of-purchase materials. The printer also features Fujifilm’s color matching software that automatically generates a color comparison chart against the desired color to simplify the process of matching spot colors. Vivitek has started shipping the Vivitek Qumi HD, which is known as the world’s first pocket-sized LED HD 3D-ready pico projector. The projector features a 300 Lumens of brightness, a 2500:1 of contrast ratio, a mini-HDMI and a universal 24-pin connector for VGA or component connections. The Greendix Lumileaf Solar LED desk lamp has a 1800mA NiMH battery that powers six 1.2W high-brightness energy efficient LED that provide ample light for any situation. The Lumileaf is also designed to be used in both outdoor and indoor settings as the body is also water resistant. Japan’s Seahope has collaborated with Takara Tomy to designed a new timepiece inspired by the Transformers movie. Sadly, the watch is currently in the conceptual stage. General Electric has recently introduced the 9-watt Energy Smart LED bulb, which is a replacement for the ordinary 40-watt bulbs. The new LED bulb will last for up to 17 years (4 hours per day), which is 25 times longer than a general service 40-watt incandescent or halogen bulb and more than 3 times longer than a standard 8,000-hour rated life CFL. The LED bulb is also environmentally friendly since it doesn’t hold any mercury. General Electric will release the Energy Smart LED bulb later this year or early 2011 for between $40 to $50 each.
