
Eternaleds today introduced their new Hydrolux-4 LED lightbulb, which is the first LED bulb in the world to use liquid-cooling technology to give true 360 degree light like a regular light bulb. The Hydrolux-4 can lower your monthly electricity bill since it only consumes 4-Watts of electricity. Each lightbulb is rated for 35,000 hours of use, meanwhile the liquid inside is harmless paraffin oil that has been tested and certified safe to UL and ROHS standards. JTT Japan has designed the world’s first USB powered light lamp. Known as the CFL, the lamp has a shade which gives it a retro lamp shade look. This USB lamp will be released only in Japan for 1280 Yen ($15). [Product Page]

Here is a LED lamp concept that looks like the eye of Sauron from the Lord of the Rings movie. Dubbed as the Eye Dot Me, the lamp was designed by Simon Schiessl and Felix Hardwood as part of the 2009 DMY Berlin Design Festival. Sharp will release nine LED lamps for the Japanese market. These environmental friendly LED lamps feature a similar screw-in base with standard lamps that makes them backward compatible with the ordinary light bulbs sockets. The GD-32X1 from JVC is not an ordinary LCD screen. Weighing at only 5.7kg, this 32-inch Full HD LED Backlight LCD is specially made for use in public facilities, commercial outlets, or offices. The screen has 100% of the sRGB and 90% of the Adobe RGB spectrum, with a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and a brightness level of 400cd/m2. [Press Release]

These programmable cooling fans are currently on display at Computex 2009 in Taiwan. The fans work pretty much like the tachometer in your car, except that it lights up in a pleasant blue color and a red needle that is made up of LEDs, showing the current RPM speed. IKEA’s Sunnan is a solar-powered LED work lamp that can be used for four hours on a full charge. The lamp can be recharged in 9-12 hours on a sunny day. Available in green, blue, red, orange and yellow, the Sunnan LED work lamp retails for $19.99 a pop. Read more

Christie’s Entero LED projector is claimed to be the first LED-based rear projection display system in the world, which was specially designed for control room displays and video wall applications. The SoundBulb acts as a wireless speaker and a lighting device simultaneously. The bulb utilizes LED lights for illumination and Bluetooth to stream audio from a compatible computer or gadget wirelessly. The volume is controlled by twisting the bulb’s outer ring, while the on/off switch for the wireless receiver is located on the other side.
