After releasing the new 13 inch MacBook and 15 inch MacBook Pro, Apple has also rolled out the new 24-inch LED Cinema Display that can expand the screen of your new MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air and takes you to a new level of experience. The LED Cinema Display connects to your new MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air via the ultra-compact Mini DisplayPort connector, so you can say good bye to the old DVI or VGA connectors. This high-end LED screen also comes with a MagSafe connector, which is able to power and charge your new MacBooks. Other features include the self-powered USB ports, the built-in iSight camera, microphone, and speakers.

Let’s talk about the advantages of LED technology. The reason why Apple used this technology is that because LEDs are solid-state light sources that light up very quickly, so there’s no waiting for your display when you connect your new MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air. LEDs are also mercury-free, so the Apple LED Cinema Display is one of the eco-friendly appliances in the world. Energy Seed Concept

The Energy Seed is a LED lamp that is powered by trashed alkaline batteries. All alkaline batteries are really bad for the environment if you don’t dispose of them properly. Designer Sungwoo Park & Sunhee Kim try to encourage people to throw their used alkaline batteries away into the Energy Seed. The lamp will collect any power left from all the alkaline batteries to power up its energy efficient LED light. [Yanko]

Firefighting Reloaded

Fires often kill electricity, leaving burning buildings pitch black inside and giving firefighters lack of light to effectively blast flames. To save more lives (and for the sake of the advancement of the light saber industry) Duck Image Studio comes up with this Aurora firehose nozzle with an internal turbine.  When hit by the stream of the water it powers eight LED’s which not only light up the dark but also refract off of the water creating a cool life-saving illumination.
