Lenovo ThinkStation S10 And D10 Workstation PCs

Lenovo today introduced its powerful new entry into the workstation PC market with the launch of the ThinkStation brand. The ThinkStation S10 and D10 are based on Intel’s 45nm Xeon 5400 series and Core 2 Extreme processors and features the “latest” graphics solutions from NVIDIA. They also comes with dual Gigabit Ethernet and multiple slots, bays and USB ports for expandability. The ThinkStation S10 and D10 will be available from January 2008 for $1200 and $1739 respectively.

Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e Small-sized Desktop PC

Lenovo has decided to release ThinkCentre A61e small-sized desktop PC in the Korean market. The PC adopts AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core processor or single-core AMD Sempron processor. The computer is available on November 10, 2007 for $745 (not included VAT).

Lenovo Interactive Water Wall

Lenovo installed a huge projection-based “Interactive Water Wall” at its headquarters in North Caroline. A large body of 3D virtual water is projected along the corridor’s wall. Visitors walking by are optically tracked and their motion is translated to ripples and waves along the wall. Watch the video to see what its like.

Lenovo L220x 22-Inch Monitor

Lenovo’s L220x 22-inch monitor is the first to feature a 1920 by 1200 resolution screen, which is good for HD content. The LCD screen offers auto-rotation from portrait to landscape mode and 92% color gamut. Sadly, it only has VGA/DVI jacks but no an HDMI port or component inputs. Lenovo L220x monitor retails for around $550.

Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e Energy Efficient Desktop PC

Lenovo has announced the A61e green PC in its ThinkCentre series. This small computer is the company’s smallest, quietest and most energy-efficient desktop PC which is powered by a 45-watt AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core / Sempron single core processor. The A61e was made of 90% recyclable materials and boasts EPEAT Gold status and can be powered by an optional solar panel. Other features includes 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 64MB ATI Radeon X1200, DVD burner, integrated Gigabit Ethernet, and Windows Vista operating system. The A61e green PC be available from October with a starting price of $400.

Lenovo Starts Selling Linux-Preloaded Laptops

Reuters reported that Lenovo will start selling laptop computers preloaded with Novell Inc.’s version of Linux operating system. The laptops are slated to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2007. For your info, Novell’s Linux distribution called SUSE is available for personal computers in Enterprise Desktop and free of charge openSUSE variant.

Lenovo K42A 14.1 Inch Notebook PC

Lenovo showcased the K42A 14.1-inch notebook PC during the China International Consumer Electronics Show 2007 in Qingdao. The laptop packs a pretty good punch for its size, featuring an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor with 965PM chipset, Nvidia GeForce 8400M G graphic card and Lenovo Trust Technology(LTT) enhancing stability. Pricing and availability info are still a mystery.

Lenovo ET600 Pocket PC Phone

ET600 is a new pocket PC from Lenovo that runs on Window Mobile 6 Professional. The gadget sports GSM Triband network, Bluetooth 2.0 and comes equipped with a 2.8 inch 256k colors TFT display with 240 x 320 resolutions, 2.0MP shooter, 64MB RAM/ 128MB ROM and a microSD slot. Unfortunately, this gadget does not have a QWERTY keypad. The Lenovo ET600 will be available in some Asia countries.

The Lenovo 14.1 Inch ‘ThinkPad Premium Edition’ Laptop

Lenovo will launch its new laptop “ThinkPad Premium Edition” in Korea. This Windows Vista ready laptop comes jam packed with Intel Core2Duo Processor T7600, 256MB ATI M66GL graphic chipset, and 160GB 5400rpmh HDD. It also has 14.1-inch SXGA+ display with 1400×1050 resolution. The Lenovo 14.1 Inch Laptop “ThinkPad Premium Edition” will be available from March 1, 2007 for around $4300.
