Lexar today released its latest JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS that features a hardware encryption and a tamper-resistant smart card to secure your important data. The device is also the world’s first smart card-based FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated flash drive that protects stored data with smart card-based security with continuous AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS also has a waterproof metal housing that meets military 810-F waterproof standards. Available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB storage capacities, the JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS will be available in select European markets in 2010. [Lexar]

Lexar has created SSDs in both 32GB and 64GB capacities. The 2.5-inch SATA drives features sub-1ms latency, and Crucial and also offers an external drive enclosure and 3.5-inch internal bay kit for easy mobility.

The Lexar ExpressCard SSD solution is available in 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB capacities. The device ships with software that performs automatic backups of your data based on your preference. FYI, it is also compatible with Vista’s ReadyBoost function. The price tag is still in a mystery.
