The device is also the world’s first smart card-based FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated flash drive that protects stored data with smart card-based security with continuous AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS also has a waterproof metal housing that meets military 810-F waterproof standards.
