The new LG FB44 iPod docking station has been unveiled during IFA 2009. The iPod dock produces a total output power of 40-watts, which is more than enough for listening to music in a small room. The gadget also supports DVD playback with a 1080p upscaling and a HDMI port, so you can connect the LG FB44 to your HDTV. LG Electronics today unveiled its new WIDEBOOK notebook range that provides an extreme entertainment experience to consumers. The LG WIDEBOOK range consists of five models including the R580, R560, R480, R460 and R380. Each models features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an SRS TruSurround HD sound, and a wide 16:9 HD LED-backlit display, which is optimized for HD content and provides in 1600 x 900 and 1368 x 768 HD pixel resolutions, depending on the model.
The R580 and R560 boast a 15.6-inch display, while the R480 and R460 feature a 14-inch screen. The R380 is a smaller model that comes with a 13.3-inch panel. The R580 and R480 are positioned as premium models and sport a stylish design, while the R560 and R460 are reliable everyday workhorses and the R380 offers a blend of performance at an affordable price. South Korean company LG has just unveiled its first ION based nettop PC called the XPION X30. Weighing just 1.1kg, this space-saving computer adopts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N230 processor, a NVIDIA ION (MCP7A) chipset, an integrated GeForce 9400 graphics card, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Basic OS. LG today introduced their first Android-based smartphone that will be available in the fourth quarter of this year in selected European markets. The announcement of LG’s first Android-powered smartphone comes only a week after the company announced that it would be introducing three new Windows Mobile smartphones in the next few weeks. Previously known as “Etna”, the LG GW620 is a QWERTY-slider that has a 3-inch touchscreen display with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, Wi-Fi and GPS. LG has announced two new wireless HDTVs for the mass market. The LG 55LHX and the LH85 use a media box to transmit uncompressed full 1080p signals with “virtually” no interference directly to the TV. The TV can receive wireless signals from up to 30 feet away. The 55LHX comes equipped with LED backlighting and a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with 240Hz refresh rate, meanwhile, the LH85 provides an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The 55LHX will retail for $4799 and the LH85 series will cost for $3,199 for a 55-inch and $2,399 for a 47-inch. [LG]

LG has entered the portable hard drive market by releasing the XD3 Slim portable HDDs that measure at only 13mm slim. These hard drives also come equipped with rubber-padded sides for impact protection. The XD3 Slim connects to the computer via USB 2.0 or SATA II. The 320GB model will be available in Europe and North America later this year for 110,000 Won ($90). More

LG’s latest N2R1 network attached storage device will be available in 1TB and 2TB storage capacities. The NAS supports Windows, Linux and Mac compatibility, an easy drive swapping option, and a DLNA-compliant, network-sharable DVD player/RW. The N2R1 has integrated WiFi connectivity for easy connection to any 802.11g wireless home network. The MyMedia feature allows consumers access to videos, photos and music through a DLNA-certified media player, placing digital entertainment libraries within easy reach of the big-screen. For music lovers, the N2R1 also has iTunes connectivity for a networked music option. Coming in 19-inch and 22-inch sizes, these small screen HD Ready TVs offer a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a built-in DVD player, a Freeview tuner, invisible speakers with SRS TruSurround XT, a USB 2.0 port and two HDMI connectors.
