LG is set to show off a new premium 3D TV that has some nice features at this year’s IFA show. Designed as a flagship 3D TV, the new LG LW980S packs in some of LG’s most advanced technologies including Cinema 3D, which uses a polarized display and the same plastic glasses used in the cinema, instead of expensive and sometimes bulky active-shutter glasses. This 3D TV also features the Nano Full LED lighting, Smart TV functions, and a TruMotion 400Hz refresh rate for smoother video. What’s more, the LG LW980S is known as the world’s first to receive a “Flicker-Free” certification from European quality assurance agencies TUV and Intertek. LG is set to unleash another 3D LCD monitor ‘D2542P-PN’ for the Japanese market. Supporting both 2D and 3D realizations, this new 25-inch LED backlight monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 5ms response time, and features mini D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI 1.4 connectors. The D2542P-PN will go on sale in Japan from early September for around 37,000 Yen (about $480). [LG]
LG will introduce the new HX906TX CINEMA 3D Sound home theater system at IFA 2011. The new 9.1 speaker system, complete with 4 units of upright 3D speakers, can now fill your entertainment experience with sound from top to bottom, as well as all around. The 360-degree Reflector inside the upright 3D speakers sends sound to every angle, while LG’s own Sound Field Expansion technology and 3D Sound Analyzer creates a richer and fuller 3D sound. LG Electronics will introduce a couple of new high-end monitors at IFA 2011 in Berlin, Germany. The LG E91 is a 23-inch Full HD monitor with a LED backlight that features a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 250 nits brightness, and a 2ms GTG response time. The LG D23IPS is a 23-inch IPS panel that offers 3D support, a full HD resolution, a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 250 nits brightness in 2D mode, a 100 nits in 3D mode, and the company’s 2D to 3D conversion feature. The new LG LSM-100 is not an ordinary mouse, because it comes equipped with a built-in scanner. This laser mouse allows you to scan page sizes of up to A3 size. Along with the left, right and back mouse buttons, the LSM-100 also features a Smart Scan button on its left side that, when held down, allows the user to swipe the mouse over the material to be scanned. Scanned images can be saved in PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, XLS or DOC format, or dragged and dropped into the desired application. The LG LSM-100 also adopts the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to convert scanned text into editable text within a Microsoft Word document. LG is about to release two new Full HD monitors for the Japanese market namely the 21.5-Inch E2251VR-BN and 23-Inch E2351VR-BN. Both of these LED-backlight monitors provide 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and 170/160 degree viewing angles. In terms of connectivity ports, they come with mini D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI. LG Korea has unveiled its new high-tech home appliance called the Smart Washing Machine. It comes equipped with an app for Android phones that allows you to control the washing machine from your Android smartphone. This app also shows a variety of functions such as status check of the laundry, changing scheduled time, preventing wrinkles and others. LG Electronics has finally released the 47-inch 47LW9800 and 55-inch 55LW9800 3D HDTVs in the South Korean market. Both ultra slim HDTVs feature the full LED technology, LG’s True Motion 480Hz and passive 3D glasses. These 3D HDTVs also support LG’s Magic-Motion remote control, LG’s Smart Board, a web browser and Wi-Fi connectivity, giving you the possibility to stream media from your smartphone or computer wirelessly to your TV. The computer comes jam packed with a 23-inch IPS-display that creates a stunning 178-degree viewing angle and a triple camera system for superb multitouch capability.
