
Cisco has introduced its Wireless Home Audio (WHA) line and three new dual-drive NASes during CES 2009. The Wireless Home Audio system utilizes Ethernet, 802.11n, and DLNA to stream audio over multiple zones throughout the home. Some of the new products are the Conductor DMC350 Wireless-N Digital Music Center, Director DMC250 Wireless-N Music Player with Integrated Amplifier, Player DMP100 Wireless-N Music Extender, Stereo Speaker Kit DSPK50, DMWR1000 Wireless-N Touchscreen Remote, iPod docking station and the DMRIR500 IR Remote. Linksys’ WRT610N simultaneous dual-N band router has been released. The device allows the 802.11n WiFi standard to run on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz at the same time. Linksys sells this new router with a price tag of $200. [Engadget]

Linksys today introduced the Linksys WRT600N router, which is the company’s first dual-band Wi-Fi devices that can handle 802.11a/b/g/n devices via a standard 2.4GHz frequency while operating a 5GHz transmitter that works on 802.11n devices. The router offers some connectivity options including a USB 2.0 port for those who are interested in hooking up a NAS device, and four gigabit Ethernet ports. You can buy this dual-band WiFi router for $280 each.

The KiSS 1600 from Linksys is an HD-friendly wireless media player which can stream high definition video, audio, pictures and other forms of digital content to your TV. The gadget also features a DVD player, which promises to upscale standard definition DVDs to 720p resolution via the HDMI connection. The Linksys KiSS 1600 retails for a hefty $500 (after conversion).
