Apple today released AirPort Extreme Update 2007-004 via its Software Pane and on the Web. AirPort Extreme is the perfect wireless solution for home, school, and business. Apple says that this update is “recommended for all Intel-based MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini computers and improves the reliability of AirPort connections.”

Good news for Mac fans, it was announced that both Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 will be heading to the Mac platform. The news was announced by Epic Games co-founder Mark Rein when he was interviewed by Spike TV’s “Game Head” show. Now Mac fans have something more to do than just give ‘jobs’ to Steve.

Apple has already upgraded its Mac Pro desktop with a pair of 3GHz quad-core Intel Xeon processors. And off course it is not cheap! The basic Mac Pro retails for $2,200. Replace the two dual-core 2GHz CPUs with the two quad-core chips and the price almost doubles to $3,997. And then you can buy 16GB of memory and the price will be $4,499.

If you’re a Mac owner, you might know about the DataMore M3. It is an enclosure for 3.5 inch hard disks that looks like a Mac Mini. The first versions had only a USB and FireWire port, or USB only. iLuv introduces their USB TV Tuner for Mac users. iLuv makes it possible to record your favorite TV shows on to your Mac via USB 2.0 port. The TV Tuner measures 23×94.2×9.8mm and weighs 22 grams. It is compatible with Mac OS X v10.4 and above. The iLuv USB TV Tuner for Mac will be available in Japan for 14,800 Yen ($122).

Kokuyo Japan produced a dual purpose mouse with a built in laser pointer. The mouse has a resolution of 800 dpi with laser pointer switch that ranges up to 25 meters. You can activate the pointer by switching it under the scroll wheel. The Kokuyo Mouse is Windows and Mac OS compatible. It’s now available in Japan for only $38.
