
Marantz has entered the entry-level AV receiver market by releasing the NR1501. Priced at $600, the AV receiver comes with four HDMI inputs, onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and analog video upconversion. The NR1501 also a bit smaller than most receivers. Sadly, there is no 7.1 analog inputs, multizone functionality, and satellite radio connections. [Crave]

If you are searching for a new high-end Blu-ray and SACD player, then check out the Marantz UD9004. The player features 10-bit Silicon Optix REALTA chipset, 14-bit video DAC, an SD card reader, RS-232 control interface, and supports for BD-Live and an Ethernet port. Marantz boasts its latest Blu-ray player known as the BD8002. However, you should spend at least £1,799 to bring home this Blu-ray player. The BD8002 features full HD resolution at 1080p, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, DVD upscaling, HDMI 1.3a, 12-bit/297MHz video chipset, 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta processor, and SD memory card slot. The Marantz IS301 iPod Dock is different from other iPod docks. This iPod docking station can be rotated for wall-mounting and features Bluetooth connectivity for remote streaming to your Hi-Fi system. As usual, each time your iPod is docked, it will also get charged. Each purchase comes with Cat5 connectivity and an S-Video socket. The Marantz IS301 iPod Dock retails for approx. $270 each. Marantz offers its mini Audio System in Japan. Dubbed as the M-CR502, the system consists of an amplifier, CD player, and speakers and offers a RMS Output power of 50W x2 or 25W x4, a THD of 0.10%, a frequency response of 5Hz-20kH (±3dB) and a signal noise ratio of 86dB. Marantz is proud to present their VP-11S2 projector featuring HD (1920 x 1080) resolution with inputs including component, composite, s-video, RGB, and two HDMI 1.3 inputs. It also comes with two control ports, one being an RS-232C port. With the famous Texas Instrument’s new DarkChip4 chipset which boosts its brightness and contrast to 800 ANSI lumens and a 12000:1 contrast ratio. No release date or price has been confirmed yet.

The Marantz CR201 CD player has a nice mirror surface that opens to reveal the CD drive. While playing, a set of blue LEDs illuminates the CD so you can see it hypnotically spinning right through the mirror panel. The player also uses an “intelligent 3D sound†system that ensures “accurate and high quality sound reproductionâ€. The Marantz CR201 CD player is currently available from AudioCubes for $759.

Here is a new vertically oriented CD player from Marantz. The CR101 looks like a programmable thermostat. The device comes with a pair of remote controls: a mini 8-button remote and a bigger size of remote control. Priced at $331, the CD player also boasts a 2.1ch (10W sub and 2x 5W speakers) with AM/FM tuner. Marantz’s CR101 will be available in Japan later this month.
