Marshal has launched its slim external BD player for the Japanese market. The Marshal MAL BDP02U2 is not an ordinary BD player. It is capable of burning BD-R/RE 1 layer at 2x or 1x for the 2 layers version. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Vista OS. No word on pricing so far. [Akihabara]
Marshal will be releasing a new case for a 3.5″ SATA HDD. It comes with an ECO mode that stops disc rotation after 5 minutes of inactivity resulting in a power consumption reduction of 71% when the disc is in standby in addition to one USB 2.0 connection. [Akihabara]

Marshal of Japan has just released a dual SATA HDD rack. The rack supports 2.5†and 3.5†HDDs as well as USB 2.0, and gives you RAID 0 setting up to 2 TB. No word on the price, but when it becomes available, it will be at GeekStuff4u. [Akihabara]
