The gadget supports Traffic Master, Voice control, SiRF Titan 600Mhz processor, SiRF InstantFix II GPS receiver, Text-to-Speech for precise traffic guidance, Pre-loaded safety camera locations, Lane and Speed advisor, and 3GB of storage space. What makes this gadget different is that it comes with a fingerprint sensor. I guess you are bored with the Eee PC competitor news. But here is a new Eee-PC competitor which is powered with a new Atom CPU. The Akoya Mini from Medion is a 10 inch small notebook which is powered by Intel’s Atom processor, on-board Linux, 1GB RAM, two USB 2.0 ports, a memory card slot, VGA out, and a 1.3MP webcam. The Medion GoPal P4425 Personal Navigation Device (PND) comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor to enhance user security and ensures that only authorized users will be able to activate the device. The gadget stores up to five different user fingerprints. Other cool features include a 4.3inch TFT touchscreeh display, the SiRF Atlas III multimedia processor, a speed advisor and lane assistant, GPS satellite and Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and text-to-speech capability, an RDS-TMC receiver for live traffic updates, and an integrated FM transmitter. Medion has recently announced the new GoPal P4425 GPS navigation system with 4.3 inch touch screen display and fingerprint recognition for extra security. This slim gadget measures at just 17mm thick and also sports Bluetooth hands free calling with voice recognition for certain commands, RDS-TMC antenna for live traffic updates, and an FM transmitter to hear voice guidance through your cars speakers. The gadget will be available in the UK for approx. $610 in November, 2007.
