
Mushkin today rolled out the Redline DDR3 memory kits, which are designed especially for gamers and enthusiasts. These memory kits are introduced in a 4GB dual-channel kit that composed of two 2GB modules, and 6GB triple-channel kit that composed of three 2GB modules. The new Redline Series DDR3-1600 CL6 memory kits also support Intel’s LGA1366 and LGA1156 platforms. In addition, these memory modules have latencies of CL 6-8-6-24. The products achieve this performance level while operating on a voltage of 1.65V and because Red Frostbyte heatspreaders prevents each of the modules from overheating. The 96805BLACK (4GB) and 998805BLACK (6GB) are priced at 175 Euro ($234) and 225 Euro ($300), respectively. [TechPowerUp!]

Sony will release the 16MB version of the memory stick PRO duo in Japan. It’s specially designed for high definition AVHD camcorders and should be available in March for $279.

Sony introduced its new 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo that will be on sale in Japan on March 9. The Sony PSP will accept the new flash cards, but you’ll need to upgrade firmware version 2.81. However, this flash memory card is only compatible with all Sony VAIO laptops or Cybershot cameras that are sold in 2007. The new Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo retails for $325.
