ZOTAC has just announced the availability of their new mini PC ‘ZBOX HD-ID11‘ in Korea. First introduced back in March, the ZBOX HD-ID11 offers a 1.66GHz Intel Atom D510 dual-core processor, a 512MB NVIDIA ION 2 graphics card (dedicated DDR3 memory), a 2GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 6-in-1 card reader, WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, a SATA 3.0 Gbps port for one 2.5-inch drive, six USB 2.0 ports, a DVI port and an HDMI output. Shuttle is about to release a new Mini PC, which is said to be setting the benchmark for all other Mini PCs in the future. It is only 1.5 inches thin but don’t let that fool you, this thing is a powerhouse. It will be easy to mount behind a flat panel display and will run silently because ti has no cooling fan. If you are looking for a new fanless/ silent mini-PC, then check out the latest Atom Z510-based mini-PC from Habey. Measuring at just 4.5-inch x 4.5-inch x 1.5-inch, the BIS-6620 is described as “an ultra-compact fanless and noiseless PC platform based on the Intel Atom Z510 processor”. This computer provides an Intel GMA 500 graphics, a 1080p hardware decoding, a single DDR2 SODIMM memory slot, room for a 1.8-inch (iPod classic-sized), a few USB 2.0 sockets, integrated SD/ CF card readers, Gigabit Ethernet port, and an optional WiFi module. My Ripple has come out with another mini PC for the korean market. Dubbed as the Ripple Look Family, this mini PC is equipped with an Intel dual core processor, an Intel GMA X4500 graphics chipset, a high capacity hard drive and various input ports. The PC also supports DirectX 10 API and is capable of playing back HD videos (MPEG2/4, VC-5 and H.264). Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet. [AVING]
Ripple Korea today rolled out their spanking new compact (Mini-ITX) desktop, the Spires. Designed to be used next to your TV, the compact desktop comes equipped with a black lacquered finish, a 250W Micro-ATX power supply and can receive different Intel CPUs as well as a different amount of RAM. After releasing the Inspiron Zino in the US market, Dell also launched this mini PC in South Korea. The Korean version of Zino is powered by an Intel Atom 230 processor, a 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard disk drive. Available in Piano Black model, the mini-PC also features an integrated ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics card, WiFi, four USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA, Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI output and a 4-in-1 card reader. It is powered by a 2.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor with a 4GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, a built-in Blu-Ray drive, and Microsoft Windows 7. The ViewSonic VOT550 comes in a sleek piano black casing that will look great alongside the majority of LCD or plasma TVs. Available in a variety of colors, this powerful mini PC is powered by either an AMD Athlon 2650e, 2850e, X2 3250e or Neo X2 6850e CPU and offers up to 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB hard drive, an optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 or HD 4330 graphics card, an optional DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, a TV tuner (optional), a 4-in-1 card reader, WiFi, four USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA, Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI output and runs on either Linux or Windows OS. France-based company, Linutop SARL has come out with another space-saving mini PC called the Linutop 3. Measuring 23.5cm x 23.6cm x 5.5cm and weighing just 1.8 kilograms, the system runs on Linux OS and offers the following specifications: a 1GHz VIA C7 processor, up to 2GB RAM, a 2GB Flash Memory, a network controller, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports and both DVI and D-Sub display ports.
