According to the International Programs Center of the U.S. Census Bureau, the total population of the world reached 6,634,294,193. AT&T and Samsung Telecommunications America have promised to release the Samsung SLM (also known as Samsung A747) in November 23rd, 2007. The clamshell will support Napster Mobile, AT&T Video Share, mobile banking and AT&T Mobile Music services. FYI, Napster Mobile allows AT&T subscribers to preview samples of over 5 million songs, purchasing and downloading them within a minute. The Samsung SLM features stereo Bluetooth, a 2MP shooter, a microSD memory card slot, a 65k color external screen, advanced messaging options and an internal 262k color TFT display. You can purchase the phone for $149.99 after a $50 rebate and signing up for a 2-year contract.

Asus is working on a new PDA phone that has the same design with the Nokia Communicator. Known as the Asus M930 Communicator, it will have two display screens and full QWERTY keyboard. Asus M930 PDA phone will be powered by Marvel PXA27x 520 MHz CPU, 256MB of Flash ROM and 180MB of RAM, Windows Mobile 6.0 OS and will have GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and 3.6 Mbps HSDPA connectivity. The gadget also sports 3.2MP camera with autofocus, FM Tuner, WI-Fi and Bluetooth. For your info, the picture above is only the illustration. It is not the actual picture of Asus M930. The Asus M930 Communicator will be released in Europe in Q1, 2008.

The official pictures of the Nokia N82 phone are finally released. The handset is a quad band GSM, UMTS and HSDPA connectivity that has 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, 2.4inch QVGA (240×320) 16M colors screen, built-in GPS receiver, FM Radio, Micro SD slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Its camera can capture VGA video at 30fps. Sadly, there is no info on pricing so far.
