Sony Ericsson Unveils New K660 HSDPA Enabled Phone

The Sony Ericsson K660 is an HSDPA enabled phone with illuminated shortcut keys which only active when the users are surfing the Net. The navigation keys will serve as a “magnetic mouse pointer” when in Web mode, letting you find your way around the page just as you would on a PC. The phone features 2.0inch QVGA display with landscape Web browsing, 2.0MP camera, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP), FM radio and 256 MB Memory Stick Micro M2. Available in “lime-on-white” or “wine-on-black”, Sony Ericsson K660 will be available in selected markets from Q1 2008.

E-TEN has also introduced the Glofiish X600 which is powered by Windows MobileR 6 operating system, and sports GPS, GPRS and Wi-Fi connectivity. Measuring at just 107mm x 58mm x 14.7mm and weighting only 136grams, the handset comes with a stylish metallic black and red design. No word on pricing so far. The Glofiish X600 will be released later this month.

E-TEN’s next-generation Glofiish X800 Pocket PC Phone comes loaded with a high-resolution VGA display screen (480 x 640) and sports 3.5G HSDPA connectivity for high-speed downloads. The handset measures 113.5mm x 60.5mm x 15.8mm and offers connectivity solution including GSM, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The cell phone also has dual digital cameras (an auto-focus 2MP shooter at the rear to capture high-quality photographs and video, and a front-mounted VGA camera for video calling). The X800 is now available worldwide.

Sony Ericsson K770i 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone

Sony Ericsson’s slim K770i comes loaded with a 1.9-inch TFT screen (240 x 320), 3.2MP camera with auto-focus and 3x digital zoom, M2 card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB connectivity. PhoneArena has reviewed the phone. Watch the video review after the break.

The launch of Sony Ericsson K770 is a rather strange decision on the part of its manufacturer. You may ask what is strange about launching the phone. Well, the point is that, with phones like К800 and К810 already on the market, this Cyber-shot has nothing more to offer, apart from a newer design and a few additional LEDs on the back panel. Moreover, it is equipped with a LED flash instead of the more advanced Xenon one. This is actually a Т650 in different panels and a few additions (for example, Track ID), just like S500 and W580.

Samsung SPH4650 Multi-Touch Smartphone

Korean giant Samsung has decided to release a new Windows Mobile 6 Pro based smartphone in Korea. Priced at around $550, the Samsung SPH4650 Multi-Touch smartphone supports a 624MHz high performance PXA300 CPU and comes loaded with a 2.8 inch LCD TV Screen. There is no further info on this mobile phone. Stay tuned for more details.

Here is a new entry level mobile phone that comes equipped with GPS. Dubbed as the Hop1883, the handset be offered by Hop-On Wireless operating in California. This tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM phone is lightweight and comes in candy bar form factor. The phone has a 2.8inch 240 x 320 resolution (QVGA) screen, the embedded SiRF Star III GPS receiver chip, and a 2MP digital camera.

Verizon LG Voyager Phone Specs Unveiled

Verizon plans to release the LG Voyager phone very soon. The handset comes loaded with a 2.81-inch external touchscreen, VibeTouch tactile feedback support, V CAST Mobile TV, dual integrated speakers, a 2MP shooter, microSD expansion slot and VZ Navigator preloaded. Sadly, there is no word on pricing or availability so far.

TechFaith Wireless Releases Twins Phone

TechFaith Wireless from China has rolled out the “first WCDMA/GSM dual mode phone” in the world. Dubbed as the Twins phone, the handset lets users to use one WCDMA card and one GSM card or to load dual GSM SIM cards. The phone also provides a 2MP shooter, a 2.8 inch touch sensitive TFT LCD display, 256MB RAM, 64MB ROM, integrated MP3 and MPEG4 playback, a WCDMA modem, Bluetooth connectivity and video call support. The Twin phone is available in two versions; the “Dragonfly” and “OMAP”, with the latter having a faster CPU and tri-band network support instead of quad-band. No word on pricing or availability so far.
