Philips today launched its new flip handset, the Xenium X530. The handset offers a super long battery life that allows you to talk for up to 8 hours non-stop. This tri-band GSM/EDGE mobile phone also features a 2.2 inch internal TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, a 1 inch OLED external display, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP connectivity, music player support, an integrated FM radio with RDS, and a 2MP camera. Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new phone called Sony Ericsson T707 Elle during a press event recently held by Sony Ericsson in China. This clamshell handset offers basic mobile phone features. Available sometime later this spring, the T707 Elle features Quad-band GSM connectivity, HSDPA 2100 connectivity, a 2.2 inch QVGA internal display, a 3.2MP camera, and 1GB M2 memory card. Samsung is ready to launch the S5600 and S5230 touchscreen phones in the European markets. Measuring at only 12.8mm thick, the S5600 has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, 3MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio and 7.2 Mbps HSDPA. Meanwhile, the S5230 measures 11.3mm thick and provides a 3 inch QVGA touchscreen, 3MP shooter with 15 fps video recording and DNSe technology to produces high quality sound. The Samsung S7220 Ultra b is a 3.5G handset with a 5MP shooter and GPS support. Weighing at only 88 grams, the handset comes equipped with a standard 2.2-inch 240 x 320 pixel OLED panel, and WiFi. Sony Ericsson offers a special edition of the Sony Ericsson W595. The new W595 Cosmopolitan Flower Edition is basically W595 in Cosmopolitan White color with red flowers on the front and back. The phone also comes with a “Flower power” theme, one special flash-menu, and five beautiful songs. Each purchase will come with a small charm and a nice soft pouch. Nokia has decided to give new color for the Nokia’s E55 that was released last week. The handset is now available in black, white, and a new red color. This ultra thin smartphone is touted as “the world’s most compact messaging device”. It runs on Symbian S60 3.2 Edition and features Wi-Fi, a 2.4 inch QVGA display with 16 million colors, digital compass, a 3.5mm headset jack and a 3.2MP autofocus camera. Pantech and AU have collaborated to launch the new Pantech-AU NS02 3G handset in Japan. The phone is actually a standard CDMA 1X WIN phone with a 2.7-inch QVGA display and a 2MP shooter. Korean giant Samsung offers a new mobile phone for the South Korean market. Dubbed as the double-jointed Samsung SPH-W6450, the phone is specially designed for portable Internet viewing. The handset is also known as the OZ Double Folder Phone. You are able to fold and unfold the handset vertically whenever calling or sending text messages. The mobile phone can also be fold horizontally to comfortably watch some TV via DMB, browse the Internet or watch compressed movies. The Samsung SPH-W6450 is priced at $395 (after conversion).
