Here is a custom CoolIT PC case mod that was designed by 19-year-old Dominic Heise. The computer case looks like a frosty block of snow and ice and features a heavy duty Boreas liquid cooling rig with 15 cooling fans in the back of the case. Someone with too much time in their hands created what seems like a real car wheel, but in actuality is a fully-functional computer complete with a cool panel display and LED illumination. And it’s got a CD, DVD or whatever drive too. Amazing.
Some dudes behind Modd3d have managed to overclock a Nintendo DS Lite. Parts needed include a GBAccelerator DS overclocking chip, 30 AWG kynar wire-wrap wire, and a low-wattage, fine-tipped soldering iron. Watch the video demonstration after the jump to get more details.
I can say this PC mod is one of the coolest PC mods. Dubbed as the Decomatic Model 12b, it contains an Intel Core 2 Duo machine with 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, an Nvidia 7600 series video card with HDMI, and a total of 31 ports.
Some hackers at WiiKey claim to have made the first fully functionable Nintendo Wii modchip. The chip will be available in February 7, 2007. It can play backup copies of Wii and GameCube games using DVD-R or DVD+R disc. However, WiiKey has no images and detailed specs of the modchip. Stay tuned for more updates!
