Dell 20-inch Ultra-Sharp 2009W LCD

Dell has announced that they will be selling a $289, 20-inch LCD monitor called the UltraSharp 2009W LCD. It features 1680 x 1050 native resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, and four USB 2.0 ports. Sounds like a good deal to me. [Techeblog]

Samsung 19-inch 953BW and 22-inch 2253BW LCD Monitors

Samsung has just dropped 2 new LCD monitors. The first one is the 19-inch 953BW for $239. It features a 1,440 x 900 resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, the 20-inch 2053BW ($299), and 22-inch 2253LW ($319) as well as the 22-inch 2253BW ($349). All three come with a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution and two-millisecond response time. Along with an HDCP-compliant DVI port, intelligent MagicColor controls and a black glossy finish. LG Showcases High-End Monitor

LG W2600HP Monitor

LG has unveiled its 26-inch high-end monitor W2600HP during CeBIT 2008. It features 1,920 x 1,200(WUXGA) resolution, 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness, 5ms response speed and 178-degree viewing angle, along with HDMI and USB 2.0 ports. No word on pricing or an exact release date, but I’m thinking the monitor will be pretty high. [AVING]

Greenhouse 22-inch Monitor Picks HDMI Over DVI

Greenhouse has introduced a brand new 22-inch LCD monitor in Japan. It has a WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050) resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000: contrast ratio and two-millisecond response time, the GH-JEF223SH-LB also has HDMI. LG Electronics will launch its W52 series (model: W1952TQ/W2252TQ) in Korea. Which features 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response speed, a great Ez-zooming function enabling you to change the screen resolution in a single click, function Photo Effect an effect based on photoshop giving you access with a click of a button on the monitor, and a wide 4:3 ratio that will allow you to read everything from video game to photo files. Sony Drops Bright M1 Bravia LCD’s

Sony 20-inch and 16-inch M1 Bravia LCDs

Sony will release their 2 new M1 Bravia LCDs. The 20-inch which is going for $1,020 and 16-inch priced at $835 come with 1366×768 screens with 1,200:1 or 1,800:1 contrast ratios, Bravia engine 2 image processing, 24p true cinema 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs, and VOD and DLNA connectivity. By the way, the U.S price as well as release info is still not available for the U.S Bravia’s. [Sony]

Asus MK241H LCD

Seems like Asus can’t resist dropping new LCD displays all the time. So here’s yet another one called the MK241H, which is a 24-inch LCD monitor featuring a 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI, D-SUB, and DVD-D (HDSC) inputs, with a sweet built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam. No word on pricing or availability, but it shouldn’t be long ladies and gents. [PCWatch]

Astro Systems DM-3400 LCD Monitor

Astro Systems will launch the DM-3400 monitor for its digital cinema and broadcast studio clients. It supports four channels of DVI and HD-SDI as well as contrast, gamma and brightness adjustments for each RGB channel. There’s no word on pricing or availability as this time unfortunately.
