Asus is expected to launch its 20-inch monitor mid-December in the Japanese market. It features 1,400*1,050(SXGA+) resolution, 2,000:1 contrast ratio, and 5ms response time. It’s going for about $520.

Panasonic presents their very first rearview monitor system with a camera and a monitor. You wont need a separate navigation system anymore because it comes with that as well 3.5 inch monitor with 320 × 240 effective pixels with two image input terminals, one for the camera and one for other electronic devices. When you shift lever to a reverse position, the system can show a rear view of the vehicle, rearview camera is a 1/4-inch color CCD camera with 250,000 effective pixels. The detection angles of the camera are 134° in a horizontal direction and 103° in a vertical direction. The Panasonic Rearview Monitor will be available in Japan on December 17th for $356.
Enjoy watching TV even when you’re on the go with the EG-CL7 7-inch LCD for your car by Evergreen. It can be mounted anywhere in your car so you’ll get just the right angle for you and your guests viewing pleasure. Other than that it features a resolution of 480×234 with a 170-degree view angle. It is now available in Japan for $161.
Here’s another monitor by Candela. It is a 22-inch with a 680×1050 resolution, 16 million colors, 1000:1, 300cd/m2 and 5ms and 2 2W speakers. Candela wants $386 for this average but good quality monitor.
Chimei has released their 22-inch LCD monitor aka the CMV228 in Taiwan. The CMV228 features a contrast ratio of 1,200:1, a resolution of 1,680×1,050 and a response time of 5ms. It goes for about $275. Now you can view all your cool action movies as well as the big game or even your porn stash via PC. Unfortunately the girl doesn’t come with the monitor sorry.
Samsung has decided to release the B2B client solution SyncMaster 220TN monitor in Korea. It supports video conference calls with built-in pc, 2M webcam, array MIC and speaker, four USB ports, and an embedded V2oIP(Voice and Video over IP). More pictures after the jump. Make all those video conference calls without using a computer! Now you can call your clients or boss in your pj’s, but I wouldn’t recommend it!
Alphascan is releasing their A5500DS 22-inch monitor in Korea with standard features such as 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, brightness level of 330cd/m², a response time of 5ms response time, a contrast ratio of 3,000 to 1, a 3W speaker along with DVI and D-Sub connectivity. Perfect for the working professional moreso than for leisurely use. No word on pricing just yet though.
Here we present the RDT222WM, which is 22′ wide, is able to receive D-SUD and DVI-D as well as HDMI, a contrast ratio of 2000:1 a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a resolution of 1680×1050. Exclusively in Japan is priced at approximately $500.
The Telegrass T4-N Wearable Monitor is a great looking monitor for the modern age geek. It includes something similar to a 45 inch screen viewed at a 2 meters distance. Unfortunately you’re gonna have to pay alot for this, about $1174.00. You might have that Matrix fantasy come true after all!
Although it is said to be a great LCD, it has alot of defects as well. For one, it has a poor gamma curve, high price of $700, and poor dark color performance. However, it has alot of great features such as 1920×1200 resolution, good fast motion performance, 3 ms response time, and 800:1 contrast ratio. So with all that said, you may want to wait to see if something better comes along.
