
Samsung today introduced the new Series 9 27-inch quad-HD monitor. The display features Samsung’s Plane Line Switching (PLS) panel technology, offering a quad high-definition resolution of 2560 x 1440. The Samsung Series 9 also has a built-in set of 7W speakers, an adjustable aluminum stand, several connectivity options (USB 2.0, DisplayPort, dual-link DVI, and HDMI connectors) and the new MHL standard, which allows you to connect this monitor to any compatible Android tablet or smartphone. Philips has decided to release the G-Line 273G3D 27-inch 3D monitor in Asia Facific later this month. Designed for gamers and enthusiasts, the 3D monitor provides a full HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution, a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 120Hz rate and a fast 2ms response time. The Philips G-Line 273G3D also has dual HDMI 1.4a ports that enable users to connect multiple devices to the monitor. Other specs include a VGA connection and active 3D wireless shutter glasses. Dell’s UltraSharp U3011 widescreen flat panel monitor is now available for purchase. The 30-inch monitor comes with a resolution of 2560×1600, the IPL panel technology, a 16:10 wide aspect ratio, a 178-degree viewing angles, a 7ms of response time and a high brightness level of 370 cd/m2. The Dell UltraSharp U3011 also adopts the PremierColor technology. Additional specs include a DisplayPort, 2 DVI-D (dual links), two HDMI ports, a component connector, four USB 2.0 ports and a 7-in-1 media card reader, which will help in viewing data from peripheral devices. AOC is preparing to release two new LCD HDTV monitors to its range in the form of the 21.6-inch 2290Fwt and 23.6-inch 2490Fwt. These monitors feature a TN panel with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a built-in TV tuner supporting PAL, SECAM and DVB-T signals. They also offer several connectivity ports including D-Sub, HDMI 1.3, SCART, S-Video, Composite and Component. LG has rolled out a new range of digital TV monitors called the M7WD series. These TV monitors are aimed at people that want to do multiple things with one display, including television, PC usage, high-def content and radio. Available in 22-inch and 19-inch sizes, the M7WDs boast 1920 x 1080 resolution with 20,000:1 digital fine contrast ratio and 5ms response times. Other features include a 170 degree viewing angle, 3W built-in stereo speakers along with numerous connection ports including SCART, DVI and HDMI. LG has just released in the UK a 38-inch M3800S-BN and 29-inch M2900S-BN stretch display monitor.They feature resolutions like 1,366 x 398 and 1,366 x 480, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 9-millisecond response time and a VGA input.
