Targus today introduced a new Wi-Fi Laser mouse, which is based on Ozmo’s OZMO2000 solution. The new LG LSM-100 is not an ordinary mouse, because it comes equipped with a built-in scanner. This laser mouse allows you to scan page sizes of up to A3 size. Along with the left, right and back mouse buttons, the LSM-100 also features a Smart Scan button on its left side that, when held down, allows the user to swipe the mouse over the material to be scanned. Scanned images can be saved in PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, XLS or DOC format, or dragged and dropped into the desired application. The LG LSM-100 also adopts the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to convert scanned text into editable text within a Microsoft Word document. Elecom has started selling the MENDO Kandenchi mouse. It is a small wireless mouse that comes in a shape of an “AA” battery. Available in black or white, the mouse is compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows operation systems. This input device measures 32.5mm x 32.5mm x 53mm and weights at only 32 grams.
