
Thinkware has announced its first Android-powered PND namely the Smart Navi K9. What makes this gadget interesting is that it is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU and a 512MB of RAM. What’s more, this navigation gadget runs on the Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS, GPS, a 9-inch multitouch screen and dual SD card slots. Sony will launch three new Personal Navigation Devices (PND) from the Nav-U series in Japan. Known as the Nav-U NV-U77VT, NV-U77V and NV-U37. Both Sony Nav-U NV-U77VT and NV-U77V feature a 1Seg TV tuner, a 4.8-inch display screen, an audio/ video player, an 8GB of internal memory and Bluetooth connectivity. TomTom is back with its latest Portable Navigation Device (PND) at CES 2011. Known as the TomTom Go Live 2505 M, the gadget comes with a 5-inch glass touchpanel, Bluetooth handsfree calling support, pinch-to-zoom mapping and a newfangled voice recognition system. This new GPS navigation gadget also provides the full suite of LIVE services, including TomTom HD traffic, local search, fuel prices and weather updates.
