
EASYCAR has showcased its new WiBro-enabled navigation device during World IT Show 2009 in Korea. Dubbed as the Easycar Wings, this portable device features an LCD screen with 800 x 480 resolution, a Telechips TCC7901 Dual Core CPU (498 x 498MHz), a SkyTraq GPS chipset, a rear camera and more. It uses TocToc navigation software from Point-I that enables users to enjoy Wi-Fi/WoBro access as well as e-mail, and download multimedia contents. Not to mention, the device is also capable of displaying real-time traffic information and CCTV video information. The Easycar Wings is expected to hit the Korean market in this month for 329,000 KRW. [AVING]

The AVIC-Z110BT is the latest high-end in-dash navigation system from Pioneer that enables users to control an iPod, iPhone and Bluetooth enabled phones with voice commands. The system integrates a 7-inch motorized touch panel and features MSN Direct Support, 3D highway signs, brand icons, and supports CD as well as DVD playback. Garmin has updated its GPS navigation gadget series by releasing the new Foretrex 401. The gadget has a 1.4-inch x 0.9-inch display screen with a 2-axis digital compass, a barometric altimeter, and a USB port to connect to a computer. The Foretrex 401 is about 20% smaller than its predecessor (Foretex 201 and 101). This navigation device requires two AAA batteries that can last up to 24 hours. Magellan is famous for its navigation gadgets. One of their latest products is the RoadMate 1475T that is an updated version of the previously released RoadMate 1470. The device features a 4.7-inch WQVGA anti-glare display, six million POIs, spoken street name guidance, highway lane assist, AAA TourBook listings, and QuickSpell feature. Priced at only $299 a pop, the Magellan RoadMate 1475T will come with NAVTEQ maps of the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. [Press Release]

Thinkware just released its low-end navigation device in South Korea. Known as the iNAVI ES300, the gadget adopts metallic keypads with blue/red LED lights on the both sides. The iNAVI ES300 also features “ECO Drive” function, DMB support, “LCD Off” function, and a built-in 900mAh battery. The 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB models are priced at 329,000 Won($259), 379,000 Won($298), and 429,000 Won($337), respectively. [Navigadget]

The Sanyo Gorilla NVA-GS1609FT and NVA-GS1409DT in-dash navigation systems boast a 16GB SSD and 8GB SSD, respectively. Both gadgets feature a 7-inch QVGA touchscreen display with Sanyo Eco Drive, an improved GUI and 3D maps. Pricing info and availability info are still unknown. [Akihabara]

Good news comes from the FCC. The Magellan Maestro 4700 has been approved, which means we will be able to purchase this gadget in the States very soon. The Magellan Maestro 4700 features a 4.7-inch LCD display, voice commands, Bluetooth connectivity, a live traffic option, and the Magellan OneTouch interface. Bad news comes from Garmin, since they will delay the release date of the Garmin Nuviphone G60 GPS smartphone again to Q3 later this year due to some issues with production capability of both Asustek and Garmin. Pioneer just launched not one but four new in-car navigation gadgets this week. Known as the AVIC-VH9900, AVIC-ZH9900, AVIC-H9900 and the AVIC-T20, these in-car GPS gadgets will be available in Japan early next month. The first three models are in-dash style GPS with the 7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, digital TV tuner, and 1Seg TV tuner. Meanwhile, the Pioneer AVIC-T20 is a Portable Navigation System (PNS) that has a 5.8-inch touchscreen display (800 x 480 pixels) and supports 3G/HSDPA connectivity. The Pioneer AVIC-F310BT in-car entertainment system also features GPS capability. Priced at only $1,060(€799), this gadget has a removable touchscreen display, an FM radio, a CD player, USB connectivity, and Bluetooth support. Using the Pioneer AVIC-F310BT, you will be able to travel through at least 44 European countries without any worries of getting lost thanks to its GPS capability.
