
Magellan has introduced three new eXplorist GPS devices for outdoor enthusiasts, which are the eXplorist 710, 610, and 510. These GPS devices feature a 3.2-megapixel camera that is capable of capturing geotagged photos or videos, and is good for navigating outdoor destinations around the world, recording audio messaging using the microphone, and sports a 3-inch color touchscreen. The eXplorist 710, 610, and 510 are also IPX-7 certified for being waterproof in up to 3.3 feet of water for a good 30 minutes. Each purchase comes with the pre-loaded World Edition map that contains the full road network of the US, Canada, Western Europe, and Australia. The Sony NV-U76V PND comes equipped with a 4.8-inch display screen with a 480 x 272 pixel resolution, an 8GB of storage space, Bluetooth connectivity and a 1Seg TV tuner with the possibility to record video. What makes this navigation gadget special is that it features a new “Position Plus GT”, which is able to guide thought tunnels or areas with poor GPS coverage. What makes this GPS watch interesting is that it is powered by a super sensitive SiRF Star III GPS receiver, so you can keep track of your location, altitude ascent and descent distances and rates. Pioneer today launched their latest in-dash GPS navigation system called Pioneer AVIC Z120BT. The gadget features a 7-inch motorized widescreen TFT LCD touchscreen with a 3D interface and a customizable home menu, an AM/FM radio and a voice-activated navigation. The Pioneer AVIC Z120BT also adopts the MusicSphere technology that creates unique mood-based playlists via iTunes for your iPod, iPod Touch, or iPhone. You can now pre-order the Garmin 295W GPS navigator for $279.99 at Amazon. The gadget comes pre-loaded with North American maps and features a 3-megapixel camera that allows you to take geotagged photos. The Garmin 295W has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that can auto-rotate between portrait or landscape mode. Other features include a picture viewer, a currency converter, weather forecasts, and e-mail attachments. Users can download pictures from Garmin Connect, while the company’s Locate feature automatically saves the location of a vehicle when the device is removed from a dock.
